Everyone Gets Presents on Tass’s Birthday!
Just like last year, I’ve decided to give some gifts to everyone in honor of my birthday. I’ve added 4 new songs into FFR, in 4 different genres:
Pavlov’s Dog is by artist Jon Brownell, stepfile by Vote4Nixon. Fairly straight forward techno song that I’ve rated a low 7. It has 1 section of 4-note mini-trills that makes it a 7, along with a few 24th rolls, instead of a 6. It is located in the front of Dance.
Over the Frail Dream is a fairly well known StepMania song by Phantasma. For FFR, it is stepped by SulferDragon and has some 200bpm stream, but not much. Mostly 8th notes. I’ve rated it a 9. I’m aware it’s a 10 with framer issues, but I’m assuming down the road that that fix will be public, so I’m starting to rate based on that assumption. It is in the front of Dance2.
Dishwater is a highly amusing (although somewhat profane) “rap” by Futuristic Sex Robotz. I wouldn’t quite call it nerdcore, but it’s similar.  Stepfile is by dore. 75bpm 16ths brings this file in at a 5. You can find it in the beginning of Hip-Hop.
Also added is Rise Against’s Survive, stepped by bluguerrilla.  Very cool song, although it is in that “emo” MySpace genre that I know you all love so much. I rated it a 10, but I’m willing to discuss making it a 9. Located in the front of Rock.
For the subscribers, I’ll have new stuff on Sunday. There should also be other subscriber songs that became public today… Kirby’s Dream Land. Currently in Funk, but I will finally be moving all those out soon. Also, Synth’s contest will be up… but who knows when.Â

SGX emerges from his slumber with “Hero of the Grey Area.” This is his most focused and cohesive album, focusing on instrumental pieces. SGX intersperses electro, breakbeat, and industrial beats between lush orchestrations, growling synth basses, and transporting soundscapes. “Hero” is at the same time electronic and synthetic plus natural and human.
For more information and to download some free full mp3′s from the album, visit the album page.

So keep sitting on your asses and buy his new album!
Digital (mp3 or flac) $4.99 | Disc $14.99(free shipping) direct from SGX

Mika Mika Mika
I only have one question… Why has it taken FFR this long to find the music of Mika? Take a look not only at the outpouring of supportive comments but also the interesting take on his fresh electronic and pop sound that has been missing from FFR for some time..
Mika fills a certain void on FFR. His classic tracks like “Lollipop” very much remind me of the old DDR j-pop tracks. There is no denying the fun of this music and while they may only be widget based now, you can bet we are going to pull newer and harder versions into the game for you to conquer as soon as I can get Rebirth started on them this afternoon.
I am going to plug Mika here because I think he deserves our support. Please help me in leading an FFR invasion of his myspace to show our support. Feel free to leave comments stating you are from FFR. The image below will lead directly to his myspace page where you can check out his newest music, videos etc. LET THE INVASION BEGIN! (aka click on that huge image below. It is only a direct link to his myspace)
Enjoy!

Super Bowl FFR Credit Wagering!
Have too many credits and want to gamble for more? Don’t have enough and want to risk what you have for more? Starting at 2pm EST, we’ll have a page set up for Super Bowl wagering. We’ll be using a 12 points spread (which is explained on the page, if you don’t know what a spread is). Winners will be paid out slightly less than 2x their money.
We will edit this page with a link once it’s finished. A bit last minute, but better later than never! So get your credits ready for your wager on either the Patriots or Giants.
All done! Have fun during the superbowl!
More new subscriber features!
Xelius is hard at work, as always, to bring to life everyone’s ideas. The newest feature on the subscriber version of the game is merely a letter… but it is so much more. In the upper left hand corner, next to the Quality Q is a Song Selection S. If you click on the S, it will bring up a giant scrollable list of all songs in FFR… each one playable via a single click. Currently, the songs are listed in reverse order by reverse genre (hardest songs in Misc first, easiest songs in Dance last). This will be resolved tomorrow, but we couldn’t wait to get this feature live for everyone to test out.
And for everyone else, we understand you’re getting jealous. Do not fear! Many of these feature will become public in the very near future.

The Greatest Night in the History of Our Sport. Testing AvMiss Fix
The title is correct. We having a working solution for a feature (fix) that users have been asking about for approximately 5 years. Omg 5 years… Xelius has been hard at work squashing the AvMiss bug and he looks to be successful. Yes, he has been sifting through unimaginable amounts of tangled and twisted FFR code (I feel bad for the guy). His efforts are nothing short of miraculous and his results are fantastic.
We had a preview tonight but starting tomorrow morning we will be inviting all beta tester (aka subscribers) to come in and experience this new version and note down any bugs you may find. I suspect the results will change FFR scores dramatically. We still have not decide what steps to take in how to handle scores but we will be organizing and sifting through all the subscriber suggestions in order to come up with a solution quickly.
I ask that if you want to help Xelius eat and pay his rent (and help us with our costs) that you subscribe. He has been working insane hours on FFR lately and even more improvements are on their way. As always, we can use as many extra beta testers as possible. For those of you who are already a subscriber, thank you. You all make a huge difference in what we are capable of.
Cheers,
Synthlight + Thanks to Xelius

It’s the day you all been waiting for, some of the most asked for features have been put together in one big update. Before I list them, I would like to thank Nestlekwik and Tass for putting this list together, without them it wouldn’t have been possible. These are subscriber only features for now while we go through testing, available through this link: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/FFR_the_Beta.php
