5th Official FFR Tourna..what?

Yup! You guessed it! It’s time again for the Official FFR tournament once again! You know, that time where keyboards get crushed, along with hearts, walls, heads.. and whatever else you crazy people do when you can’t AAA a song . Signups will start tonight at midnight, so be on the look out for the official post later on.

Just a little info beforehand..

Thanks to Mr.Mastermind LD, we’ve made some improvements on how the tournament is being run that will hopefully make your oh-so-difficult lives a bit easier. As prizes go, everyone will be filled in on them all of the other juicy details later in the official sign-up and tournament post – but just remember that this is the chance to grab your hands on the rare VRofl token if you finish in the top 8 within your division, so make sure you don’t forget to sign up!

Spreading the joy

Mirror is finally 100% fixed and with that I present a mirror mode for downscroll players as well! Key reverse is still required to use mirror, but that shouldn’t be that much of a problem. I also added a x1.65 speedmod for all you players between x1.50 and x1.75 that I left out last time.

Speedmods and Mirror!

Mirror has arrived and it brought along with it new speedmods! The speedmods include, x1.875, x1.95, x2.15, and x2.20. Don’t think that these will be the only four, I’ll add more in the future but for now be patient. Mirror is finally in-game and set as a scroll, however there are some things you must do before using mirror.

First off, set your keys reversed in the settings menu, i.e. zx./ becomes /.xz or it won’t work properly. Second off, there is a bug in mirror at the moment, the arrow flashes on the receptors will appear for the opposing arrow you hit, this is most likely due to the fact that I reversed the arrow output to achieve the desired mirror effect without screen flip. Now don’t think I will let this bug go unnoticed I will be working on it from time to time to get it fixed and working properly, maybe even completely redo the way I originally created mirror to get it fixed, but in the meantime I think the speedmods will compensate.

Mute = No More Emotion

NSane is hard at work, and his newest feature is being tested on the beta for all our blue folk (aka subscribers). It is mute buttons for the menu music and the score screen music.  Each one has a button…  and they’re works in progress.  Expect them to save your choice in the near future.

Also expect the ability to select ANY song as your menu music soon.

Where am I? Well… now I know!

Hey everyone!  LD here… For some time now the usermap hasn’t been working.  For those of you who don’t know, the usermap is a tool to see what FFR users are around you!  Well, I had a few minutes this afternoon and decided to muddle around in the code and see what was up!

Tass gave me an hour to fix the usermap… Well, it took about 8 seconds, so I give you the functional User Map once again!

Simfile DB Fixed! Gambling Hall Dead :(

I’m sorry guys…  the internet police have officially given up their search for our missing gambling hall.  It is presumed dead.  Maybe one day we’ll find the body afloat in the river, or a hiker will discover half-eaten pieces off a rarely used trail.  Who knows.  It is a sad day…  shed a tear with me.

Juxaposed to that sadness, the simfile db is officially fixed.  There had been issues since mid-April, but no more!  And expect none in the future for many years.  So upload all your kickass charts today!
