5th Official FFR Tournament! – Final Results

Hi there!
Sprite and LD here bringing you updates on the final results of the 5th Official Tournament.
The 2+ month tournament came to its conclusion on Tuesday night.

1st Season of the Official Ongoing League

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the qualifying tournament for FFR’s first official ongoing League (now known as the OOL).

There is an awful lot to know about the OOL, so read the full rules in the official OOL rules thread.

If you want to participate, round 1 of qualifying has JUST started.  See the Round 1 thread to join!

Prizes have not been finalized, but there will be credit prizes for the top finishers in the qualifying tournament.

5th place - Prime8 – I feel bad that you bought a wig… try to return it or something. I gave you a ton of bonus points, as your pics were really funny. Just not enough of them. 123 points.

4th place - Dark_Chrysalis – All around solid. 155 points.

3rd place - fermble – Awesome pics. The lack of a 2x bonus for an FFR shirt definitely hurt. 160 points is still more than respectable.

2nd place - iheartbyakuya – Late to the party, but it’s not about how you start… it’s how you finish. Tons of pics, awesome vids for bonus points, and a coin collection x2 got you a boost from 5th place in PSH3 to 2nd place here. 186 points.

and… the crazy manboob himself…

1st place - eastsideman09 – Almost every picture and insane combo photos to boot for some extra points. The real over the top was the 23 point shirt bonus off the 14 people / Waldo picture. 202 points total.

Photo Scavenger Hunt #4

Ok..  PSH 4 is NOW through Sunday.  I went through all the comments and took a bunch of the suggestions.  There are about 40 items on the list.

Rule notes for those not familiar:
-PLEASE PUT ALL OF YOUR PHOTOS INTO 1 POST AND USE IMG TAGS INSTEAD OF LINKS. That way, everyone will be able to see the hilarity of your work AND it’ll save me a lot of time in the tallying phase. Also, use [img] tags, not links!
-The photos must be taken since the start of the contest, not prior.
-The photos need to be of real, live places/things… not of pictures off the internet. All photos are subject to not counting or partial credit at my discretion. Bonuses can also be awarded for funny photos, video, or anything I feel like.

Contests In Your Future!

Few contests to announce, as the 5th Official is starting to wind down.

1) 4th PSH.  That’s Photo Scavenger Hunt, for those not familiar.  A PSH is where I give a bunch of things that you need to find (or do) and photograph.  The harder I think it is for you to do, the more points it’s worth.  Most points wins.  Contest will probably be next weekend, Thurs-Sun.  I NEED IDEAS.  POST YOUR PSH SUGGESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS!

2) 3rd GWC.  That’s GameWhore Competition, for those not familiar.  A GWC is a 24 hour event where you play lot of FFR and try to get the most.  We’ve done most points in 24 hours and also lowest average rank from a new account in 24 hours.  We’ll be using Vanilla Mnm‘s idea.  Thanks!

3) 40568th SponCon.  That’s Spontaneous Contest, for those not familiar.  A SponCon is a small, unannounced contest lasting only a few hours.  NAME EVERY SONG IN FFR THAT HAS ’123′ AS PART OF ITS NUMBER OF STEPS.  note: There are x number of songs that meet this…  and 1 additional widget song.  I do not expect you to get the widget song, but if you do there will be a bonus.

edit: Congrats Jugglinguy on winning.  Lulz at Rushyrulz.  Bonus goes to MrMagic5239!

Prize: 3 month subbie for the winner.  20,000 credits if anyone gets the widget song.  GO GO GO!

Let’s get this party started ya’ll!

Alright, you’ve been begging and pleading for us to get the show on the road, and we’ve listened!  The 5th official FFR tournament starts NOW!

For all the juicy details you can head on over to the official thread, but for the main page just a few things:

1. NEW TOURNAMENT DASHBOARD!

This time around, we have a new feature thanks to the amazing lightdarkness (that’s me!) – The Dashboard. It will be the center for information during the course of the tournament. It will provide you with info such as what round we are in, when the round ends, the songs for each division, and even the scores for each player in each division, etc. You can see for yourself

2. NEW Score submissions

The biggest change to this tournament is the way scores will be submitted – you don’t have to do anything! When you play the song for your division, the score will automatically be recorded to the tournament stats, which you can view on the dashboard. That means NO MORE SCREENSHOTS! I repeat – You DO NOT need to take a screenshot to submit scores for this tournament. All scores are automatically submitted, and it will only keep the highest score which means you can play it as many times as you want and it will only keep the highest score. This makes life a LOT easier for everyone.

As I said earlier, more information can be found in the official thread, so check that out, then head on over to the dashboard to view your division, and see what song you have to play!

5th Official FFR Tournament!

Those of you who have been waiting forever and spamming my comment wall about it are finally answered! The 5th Official FFR Tournament signups start now! If you want to sign up, you can’t…  sorry…  signups are closed! It’s that simple (note: you must have at least 150 games played to participate). If you have any questions, ask them in the official thread! Now, to tell you a bit about this tournament:

There will be five divisions. Just like the previous tournaments, you do not get to pick which division you will be competing in. I will have first and final say in what division you will be competing in. I will look at stats such as average rank, tier points, AAAs/FCs to determine the best division for you.

Now for the prizes! As always, the top-8 users in each division (up to 40 total) will gain access to the elusive vROFL token. In addition, there will be credits, t-shirts and subscriptions prizes for the top five in each division:

1st in D5: 36 month subscription, 500,000 credits, and an FFR T-shirt
1st in D4: 36 month subscription, 400,000 credits, and an FFR T-shirt
1st in D3: 36 month subscription, 300,000 credits, and an FFR T-shirt
1st in D2: 36 month subscription, 200,000 credits, and an FFR T-shirt
1st in D1: 36 month subscription, 100,000 credits, and an FFR T-shirt
