Hello again, and welcome to another weekly song release in February! After this, there will be a 14 day daily release event starting on February 14th that will replace weekly song releases for the remainder of February.

New Staff and More Applications
First off, we added two new Difficulty Consultants from the recent application period. Please welcome Elite Ninja and jacobvl39 to the staff team!

We’re also opening up applications for our Event Team! If feel like you could help us out with a steady amount of fun event ideas throughout the year, please take the time to apply by filling out this form! Ongoing Events
Reminder that the voting period for the FFR Hall of Fame – Class of 2022 is still open! Please take the time to vote if you haven’t already. The voting period ends on January 26th at 11:59 PM server time.

Moderation
Rapta has created a new tool to assist with multiplayer moderation, making it simpler than ever before to be notified about and respond to various situations!

In the past, for moderation to occur in multiplayer, one of two things would have to happen – a user reports an issue, or a moderator is present during the occurrence of said issue. The tool can do things like catch someone trying to bypass the in-game obscene word filter, whether it’s in a room name or a message, and notify the moderation team so swifter action can be taken. It can also assist in dealing with ban evasion in various ways.

Songs of the Week and Weekly Update 1/7/2023

We’re back to Songs of the Week releases on Saturdays at 12 AM Server Time! This is the first one of the year after the New Years Release.

For those that remember our old Hall of Fame rewards, we’re bringing the event back in a different way…

The FFR Hall of Fame – Class of 2022 is now open for nominations!

The Hall of Fame this year will be broken up into multiple phases. The first phase will involve nominations, which can be done using this Google form. You will have to sign in to a Google account to use the form. (This is to help make sure the nominations are unique.) If you don’t have a Google account or do not wish to use one, you can PM T-Force directly with your nominations using the same format as the Google form. You can find the nomination rules listed at the top of the form and within the thread. Please read them carefully before placing your nominations!

After the nomination process there will be a voting process. The nomination process will last 10 days, ending January 16th at 11:59 PM server time. If you have any questions, feel free to message T-Force.

New Years Release 2023

Hello and welcome to the New Years Release of 2023! Let’s celebrate with three “Black” songs for how dark it is outside at this time of night, but a bright start to another year.

Seasonal Updates:
-January opens with Season 6 and closes out Season 5, which had just over 300 participants in the end.

-The Winter 2022 Seasonal Batch has closed and our next batch will be for the 16th Official Tournament. Details can be found in the discussion thread and you can find the batch here.

-There are some difficulty changes this season that you can find on our spreadsheet. You can expect those changes to take effect soon.

-We are opening up applications for a Difficulty Consultant position!

This is the aspect of staff that determines the most suitable difficulty for a file before it’s put in FFR, as well as reviewing difficulties that may need to change for pre-existing files based on community feedback. If you are interested, please fill out our form to apply. Applications will be open for two weeks, closing January 14th at 11:59 PM server time.
