Some people are using logical fallacies (although some have been using them sarcastically.)

Just because something isn't proved to be true (for example, the existence of aliens) doesn't mean it's false, and vice versa.
This is a bit obvious, though, so I'll post my opinion also.

I believe there are probably aliens somewhere out there, but I don't believe they have come to earth as often as some people believe. Many UFO sightings can be proved as fake, but some can't, so it's possible some of those are real.

EDIT: I assume, by "UFO," you mean aliens, because there are tons of unidentified flying objects all over the place.
And if that's not what you meant, then I'm sorry.

I believe that UFO's exist...look at the words it stands for if you need to understand why. ANYTHING unidentified that flies is a UFO...once it is identified, it loses its UFO status.

The aliens are probably just bored out of their minds on their home planet and they decide to come to this planet to abduct people who live out in the middle of nowhere, and rather than cutting the person open to learn about them, they decide to stick things into them. They choose their victims because they believe that those people are better than the rest of our species because they can live at distances from the masses who must rely on each other to survive, or they think the person is not intelligent enough to know what happened to them.

You dont see us invading Mars insearch for Martians now do you? They may exist, they may not. But at least NASA hasnt lied to the world with false evidence that Martians do exist.

You may be thinking to yourself, "Well, we have taken pictures of the landscape of Mars, and have proof that life does not exist on it", but wait, it was also these satellites that "PROVED" there were WMD factorys all over Iraq.

The fact is, Bush and friends KNEW WITHOUT DOUBT THAT IRAQ HAD WMDs. But they have yet to find them....IF THEY EXIST. And I never said they didnt. But, without proof, it doesnt matter if they did or not, the US (unless it finds the Weapons still in the country of Iraq) will look like an idiot, and Bush, a hypocrite.

I think aliens exist. I just think that any that are out there are too far away from Earth to reach us. I think most UFO's are just oddly shaped asteroids that eventually just burn up in the atmosphere.

Dude the aliens would win because, well, they wouldn't be worried about blowing up the planet. Just drop some giant-ass nuclear weapon and we're gone. I would rather make friends with the aliens. That would be cool.

First of all there has been way too many sightings of aliens all throughout time to not make it true that some of these sightings are real. I'm not just talking about the last decade, there has been UFO sightings before aircraft itself was invented, there has been sightings for hundreds of years. Many of these we don't have proof on, but many of them there is also some evidence. There is camera footage, yes a lot of it is faked but these are mainly home videos people take, and the vast majority doesn't know how to put something like a fake UFO in their videos.

Back in World War 2 there was sightings of "Foo Fighters" during the many air battles. These were seen by both sides and during the war they believed it to be secret aircraft from the enemy. After the war however it was discussed and discovered that both sides had been seeing these crafts. Now if you don't know, these crafts did not follow flight styles as was known. They would hover in a position and then just automatically move at a high speed with really no acceleration. They could stop and just turn into another direction, not normal flight patterns for that time.

Now for alien abductions, I don't know how much I believe about this "probing", but are any of you aware of how many cases of alien abductions there are out there? It's not the same types of people that claim to be abducted, it's normal everyday types of people, punkers, well to be plain just about everyone, which also leads us back to saying that people all around the world claim to this happening. And their stories are actually all very similer too. If you ever took the time out to go and look in on it, you would go find that two different people who claim to being abducted in completely different parts of the world would tell you a remarkably similer story. I believe it happens when you're sleeping for most cases, here's how it works in the process of falling asleep and being abducted.

Falling asleep >>> Sensation of fear >>> Waking up next morning
Falling asleep >>> Sensation of flight >>> Waking up next morning

The fear is a normal night but the flight is being abducted. You then wake up the next morning and remember nothing of the whole situation. How do people remember their abductions then? Through things like hypnotism and other methods.

Just a minor point, the term "UFO" originally meant "Unidentified Flying Object" but nowadays it really just refers to an alien space craft.

Last of all, try watching Steven Spielburgs (sp?) "Taken". It's a 10 episode series, each episode at 2 hours. It's made up of alien sightings, abductions, all sorts of cases starting from around the 1950's and working up to modern day. Not just interesting to watch but a very good story too. It was shown on TV a while back but you might be able to buy or rent it in stores... or possibly download it on Kazaa if you're willing to wait.

Takisho - they would also win because their species has existed longer than ours (therefore - more advanced technology). So it may not be a nuke. It may be a destructive molecular device that when it's sent to a planet, it will sepaate every single molecule and atom on that planet and virtually make it disappear (referring to the Ender's Game series by Orsen Scott Card.)

If you watch south park there is an episode where it explanes the probing of cartman. Earth is a reality tv show. You know, deer and humans and all the species mixed up for the aliens to watch. Each planet has its own species.

UFOs are mostly objects being tested by military uses and some go uncontrollable,maybe even spacecraft testing.Don't ask...I saw one UFO that was actually a military object..and it was a flying saucer too...
