I don't understand it. I saw some guy playing it and he was using his hands and stuff. When do you know when to use your hands?
How the hell do you play this game

well he is using his hands cause he can. Your "supposed" to use just your feet, but ive seen some guys breakdance on a PIU machine. Very cool. The game is just like DDR but PIU has that middle square. I personally like PIU more than DDR cause of that middle square.Originally posted by Silvergolem2Think about it, your playin chess with an old man in the park, he messes up and you use your pawn to kill his knight or something, then you can get up and shout \"Pawned your arse old man!\" and run away! -
well that guy is freestylinq.. it is very popular among pump it up veterans. they know how to use there hands cuz i guess they are freaks, but i like piu better than ddr cuz piu has better songs and steps that actually goes with the music

yeah the songs are sweet and the steps are a lot harder than DDR cause all they can do is have you step on ^ 50 times to add difficultyOriginally posted by Silvergolem2Think about it, your playin chess with an old man in the park, he messes up and you use your pawn to kill his knight or something, then you can get up and shout \"Pawned your arse old man!\" and run away!Comment

Pump It Up, being a very breakdance-ish orientated game, has lotsandlots of songs where there are three or four arrows at once. Obviously, people only have two feet, so you have to use your hand to hit the other one(s).I don't understand it. I saw some guy playing it and he was using his hands and stuff. When do you know when to use your hands?
That's ez2dancer, my personal favourite dance game. There are light sensors above and below the 'orbs', and there are three floor arrows. When a blue circle comes up the screen on the left side, you wave your hand over the left sensor, etc. If you're playing on 'real' mode, then you get green circles too, which mean you wave your hand under the sensor.no... this guy is talking about this machine (i know what he means) where you dance on 4 i think (not sure I don't play this one) and move your hands ABOVE the pad above these 2 orbs.
The funniest thing is when clueless people come along to try and play the game, and don't realise that the hand sensors are.. well.. sensors. First they can't figure out how to start the game (you press the 'down' arrow to select things, there's no 'start' button), and then they claim that the machine keeps changing difficulty/song by itself.. (as the left/right sensors change song).
What's even funnier is when people get past that stage and realise they're sensors, but instead of waving their hands over the sensors, they slap them like bongos. It never fails to amuse me!Comment

I use hands when freestyling, which is like almot never. but there are some songs that require you to use hands because there are 3 consecutive arrows to stomp on at the same time. you can awkwardly position your feet to get the 3 arrows or just use hands.Comment

What about Para Para Revolution? I've seen a few people play that, but it really really makes the player look flamboyant. Personally I'll stick to DDR, where I've been mastering 10 foot songs for some time (at the expense of my ability to walk).
