DDR requires you to be so exact and it goes to slow and the songs are mainly awful. Pump it up is much better.

Paranoia Rebirth is, like, harder than HVAM. I can AA HVAM, but only A rebirth. Weird.
Yea, I just cant get the timing right on HVAM...I also havent played Paranoia Survivor, I guess I Wasn't too much aware of that one.

Timing problems on HVAM? The whole song is eighth notes, and it runs at a pretty steady beat (190 or 200 bpm or something like that, besides the beginning and ending slowdown, but those only contain 3 steps)... How can you possibly mess up the rythm of steady eighth note runs X_X

Also, PIU requires less timing, and therefore DDR requires MORE SKILL. If you can't get the timing right it's because you aren't good enough. There are also speed mods for those who think the arrows go too slow. I can understand someone not liking the songs, seeing as how they are more techno-y than PIU songs, but frankly, I like a good share of the DDR music. You're saying the music sucks as a fact based on an opinionated basis...

          Yeah, 196.

And Pump it up sucks. As for the comment about HVAM, the only part that is challenging is getting a good score at the beginning, with all the < \/ > /\ < \/ /\'s and shit.
Damn, those are hard to tap at 392 bpm.

I can almost AA Max300 and Paranoia Survivor(I'm like this close)
And I AA pretty much everything I play, would have SDG'ed Groove 2001 with 3 greats if I hadn't screwed up so badly in the end on the stupid simple 123, 123, 1232123 8th compilations >_<

I would just like to say: WTF?!?!?
              HVAM=198
HVAM IS NOT EQUAL TO 196 OR 392.

and im good at ddr, max300B, MaxXC, and i dunno about the rest, but my arcades gettin extreme soon yay

              paranoia rebirth=AA
              HVAM=A
thats the order of difficulty and how well i can do.

              rythm&police=9 foot.

sakura and bag=easiest 10foots, but SHOULD be ten foots (speed mods ARE cheating)

              so deep=9 foot.

hope that clears some things up.

SPEED MODS ARE NOT CHEATING, FOR THE LAST FUCKING TIME

The only thing that matters is the statistics the machine pumps out - your step count, how many perfects, how many greats, what score, what letter grade, whatever you care about most.

I agree that there are benefits to being able to play without speed mods, but playing with them is not cheating by any means.

First of all, SPEED MODS ARE NOT CHEATING. If ANYTHING, they are the opposite, considering the window you're at specifically makes the game harder (except for Little). For some Solo makes the game easier, but it screws me up bad. And I know people who won't play with the mods because it's more difficult for them to adjust to.

Angelic Mix is 196 BPM. Go check it in the Arcade. I can AA it. And Rebirth is by no means easier than Angelic Mix. Rebirth is a constant stream. Angelic Mix is a more chaotic stream, is faster, and has a huge stream after the pause.

Paranoia Suvivor is definately NOT the hardest song. Legend of MAX is harder by far, and LoM isn't even the hardest song.

As far as what I can pass, I can pass almost all songs. I can AA more than 10 any day of the week (mostly 8 or 9 footers) and twice on Sunday, and a few more on a decent day (all on Heavy). I can't consistently pass the Max's (depends on how long I've been playing and what kind of day it is). I can usually get a B when I pass Unlimited, though, and a C on 300 (not sure how that works, but oh well). Unfortunately we have two machines, one 7th and one Extreme, and the life bar difficulty on Extreme is waaay too high (can fail after a few missed steps). Getting a fair grading on it is hard. I've beaten all of the Paranoia's. When I play 7th Mix I can usually get 1000+ perfect in three songs, sometimes I can get 1100 with the right songs. I got 1287 on Extreme because I got to choose my extra stage (Dead End). Not only that, but the songs on Extreme tend to have fewer steps.

i have to say that in my opinion im fairly good. I play on standard and i think the hardest song that ive played was some japanese named song that was a 7-footer.[/quote]

im relatively good. i can near AA most 9-footers, yet i can only beat bag max300 and sakura for ten footers lol. on a plush pad for home use im not that good. i can ALMOST pass every song in ddrmax on single (failed at 8th note 'run' at the end of max300 dammit!)
                      im not normal...

ok. sorry about HVAM, it is 196.

SPEED MODS: ok LOOK. this is MY opinion:
-speed mods can make it harder, more challenging, and sometimes more fun.
-on something like bag, where the arrows are reallyreally close, speed mods arent cheating, but are very cheap. w/o them bag should be a 10.

-rebirth isnt easier, but less chaotic and slower? was that a typo or something?
-C on 300 and B on MaxX? odd.
-and if LoM isnt the hardest song, what is?

and about kind lady with blahblahblahblah on... mods are to help/challenge you, but shouldnt affect what you think the foot rating should be.

Yeah, sorry, I had meant to have Angelic Mix before Rebirth. Rebirth is easier. Thanks for pointing that out, didn't see it.

Although I haven't played it, I've been told PSMO is reeeeally hard, so I'd have to say that. I can't get a fair challenge on LoM because the Extreme machine I play on has the life difficulty all the way up. But I would have to say PSMO is the hardest.

Oh, about Max300 and MaxX... I have an easier time with the chaotic-ness of Unlimited than I do with the constant stream of Max300. I can't explain it, but that's just the way it is.

Oh, okay, I thought you meant on all songs, not just bag X_X

Although if I were in a tourney I would whore the x5 on bag (not about to lose because I wasn't willing to press the right button on the options screen), if I was just screwing around I would definately play on x1. I agree that bag plays more like an 7/8 footer with speed mods on.

And PSM on oni is hardest, hands-down.

Speed mods are just like all other mods, FUN! PSMO is the hardest, i agree. although i have never seen LoM, i can safely say i have never seen anything more insane than a double A on PSMO.
