i think its fake... the guy looks like he's strugling, then the camera zooms in real far and obscures everything.. then cuts, and its back on the guy just laying there.. I know that might be because.. of he's dead... but it just looks fake to me..

I don't think it's fake. Makes me wanna throw up though. Plus, just look at the rest of the website. It's just a bunch of porn links and stupid videos. So there is a good chance its fake.

I doubt it is fake. I was watching the news first when I heard about it. They said something about "because of its graphic nature we cannot air it" but it is alright to air shows and movies about that kind of shit for the most part uncensored, but no, not on the news, when it actually happens to real people.

I can understand why they dont air it though. I am sorry for the family of the dude, that is really horrible. But so is everything else in this world (except for Pizza, Sex, Video Games, MTGl, and FFR.)

My dad was explaining to me the other day how news is censored by the American government but it's printed freely here in Canada. Basically, it was in the news today about the soldier being beheaded. It did happen.

It has been the news headline in the US for the last 3-4 days atleast. I think Cnn and the associated press first picked the story up. I believe the video is authentic.

It might seem that way, but you have to remember--honor means a whole lot to arabs in general. Considering all the crap that's been circulating around the US, could you not see the source of their outrage? When the Iraqis saw pictures of their countrymen naked and lying on top of each other or naked on the floor, with a leash around their neck, being pulled around by a soldier--they get just a little mad. And for these guys, they can't just petition the government or even directly talk to the media and request change--they did something radical. That's what gets people's attention and that's how they'll be heard. It's a horrible thing, but the terrorists doing this saw it as more or less symbolic retribution for the torture of prisoners. All I'm saying is that they had their reasons. Obviously it was an atrocity, and it's by no means justified, but it's not too farfetched when you look at what we did and consider that these are the extremists of the Arab region.

I was (and still am) really speechless on this whole subject. Though I've seen worse on ogrish.com, that video of the American being behead.. just got to my stomach (and that NEVER happens.)

Like it was mention earlier in this thread, the anger of those Iraqis is quite understandable. But what they did.. just makes me wonder where the human race is going with all this violence.

PS: I think the reason it looked fake was because the guy didn't seem to be screaming a whole lot. But then again, everybody in that room was yelling, and the American would have been dead by the time the knife got half way through the artery (sp?). Plus, his head was pretty pale from either lack of lighting or obvious and extreme loss of blood.

I didn't see it and im VERY happy i din't because i'm afraid of blood (trust me, that fear is no fun). It still is inhuman to cut someone's head off, especially in front of cameras.

The man wasn't killed because of the treatment of the Iraqis. It was because he was Jewish. Muhammed proclaimed somewhere, I can't remember where, to kill jews. Hang them, decapitate them, burn their limbs, and other such things. The men are actually praying, not necessarily yelling. People are saying it is because of the treatment of the prisoners because they want to bring down the war. I myself believe that the higher up democrats WANT this war to fail, in an effort to push their man into the office.
