buuuuullshit. Of course the limit of x as h->0.999~ is 1. That's what a limit is by definition. That just means that 0.999~ never reaches 1, which we already knew, it doesn't mean it equals 1. That can't be a very prestigious forum, that or ther just didn't present their data in a comprehensible way. That's like saying 0.000000~1 is equal to 0. Unlogical. Fallied mathimatical proof.

lim(m --> ∞) sum(n = 1)^m (9)/(10^n) = 1
0.9999... = 1

Thus x = 0.9999...
10x = 9.9999...
10x - x = 9.9999... - 0.9999...
9x = 9
x = 1.

Check the math.
