Battle Ax is a crazy fun song by Onoken. 9 on the difficulty scale, with all kinds of jump triplets and 16th bursts with jumps in them. Rated a 9/12 on the difficulty scale. Stepfile is a collab between macgravel and Exag0n, two well respected stepfilers.
To unlock it, Full Combo ESC -Super Version- with 2 goods or less. No averages, no boos. either AAA, Black Flag, or 2 goods. as per levelstats, 61 people currently meet that req, but I suspect we’ll have more than that within 24 hours alone.
Basically…. you’re going to want to have this skill token. Battle Ax is worth it to whore ESC.

Ok…This is a token I can safely say, I will likely never get in this century. My PA is getting better, but it isn’t that much better…and whoring this song won’t get me the token either -.-

Way to release this token AFTER I blackflag ESC… But I managed to get the token later anyways. Battle Ax is so fun to play. AAA-ed it too after a few tries.

to fantasticone: that’s exactly what i’m talking about…if the majority of FFR CAN’T FC breaking the common (or some other standard song) then why make them try to full combo a Challenging song insted of giving them practice with a standard song skill token?

Even though that’s true, don’t you think alot of people will stop caring about skill tokens or FFR in general if everything is really hard? I just looked at the skill token page, there are about 4 or 5 possible skill tokens that an average player can get. Some of which he/she could only get if he/she really tries.

I’m an average player and I have been able to obtain a few skill tokens. But some are just too hard and are a true slap-in-the-face for the norm.

I can FC it pretty easily. I can also get 70-80 goods on it pretty easily also.
If battle-ax is biased on index players like I heard, then I am not even going to bother getting the token for that song. Maybe I’ll learn to play spread … or not.

i for one can say i am NEVER getting this token. i do agree with ppl on this post. These tokens are WAY to hard. the only token i have is beating the bonus yoshi round and THAT was luck. i believe they should make earier tokens for us average players. there are more average players then professional players therefore the skill tokens should be easier but they are SKILL tokens for aa reason…hmmm.. maybe like AAA’ing a song like … Parachute (stupid clowns) not to easy not to hard.

i do believe that i posted on the main page that before this token was released, only 61 people had gotten a score on ESC of 2 goods or less.
THIS IS A HARD TOKEN REQ. I KNOW THAT. I DID IT ON PURPOSE. GET OVER YOURSELVES.
many of the reqs are really really easy. like the one for Calm. or like a few that are coming up.
other reqs are going to be REALLY REALLY HARD. so hard that they’ll make this one look like childs play.
please stop complaining. people complaining only makes me want to make even more hard skill tokens. i ENJOY people complaining.

50 goods on vertex beta is easier than this. Only hard part of vertex beta is the damn trills in the middle.
and for the record, im not so much complaining about this skill token. Im just frustrated because Ive played ESC now over 400 times, and only about twice have I made it about halfway through the song without getting 3 goods.
