Skill Token Months Ends… The Five & MaxX AttaxX…. Hype!
MaxX AttaxX and The Five draw our skill token month to a close… it’s been a fun and bumpy ride. And kudos to the 10-15 people who will manage to unlock all 63 tokens released (I’ll try and compile a list and post these people’s names tomorrow… so if you want your name on the front page and think you can get all 63 tokens… do that ASAP!).
In other news… tomorrow will kick off AUGUST! Woo hoo! New User Skill Token Month, which you all will find out more about tomorrow… but rest assured… almost everyone will be able to unlock at least a few tokens, so don’t feel too bad if many of the tokens from July were too difficult for you.
Expect a long overdue regular token to be released tomorrow as well. AND… oh yes… did I mention a SPONTANEOUS CONTEST sometime tomorrow too.
August 1st will be a day you do not want to miss!

MaxX AttaxX is another MAX remix done by the master of MAX, DM Ashura. File is pretty straightforward with short 16th bursts and gallops along with 8th jumps at 155bpm. Stepfile is by Silver_Brian. Unlock is on MAX Forever, obviously. Get a 500+ combo, 200 or less goods, 50 or less averages, 40 or less misses, and 100 or less boos. Simple, right? And yea, I pretty much just picked arbitrary round numbers.
The Five is a pretty sweet Rave/Eurodance song by Cranky. I mean… the 10th song in a 10 song long chain has GOT to be awesome, right? Since the file is only a 9, we know it isn’t the difficulty that makes this file worth it. No, no. It is the music, the stepfile author, and the originality of the file that makes it worthy. Big props to jimerax for accomplishing that. I will warn you, this req is almost as difficult as the Otaku Oni one, not in the req itself (which is quite hard), but in all the other pre-reqs as well. You must not only have Kyuin in the first place, but you have to be able to Full Combo it. Oh, and did I mention that you have to Full Combo it with 20 or less goods, 2 or less averages, and 2 or less boos.

chain tokens are what got me, but i got the max token first try. july was a pretty fun skill token month, im only missing 15-18 tokens
tomorrow seems fun, cant wait to find out what the spontaneous contest will be =]

The first time it was mentioned, I thought New User Skill Token Month was a joke, but since it’s been mentioned again, I guess it isn’t. A lot of the tokens this month were too hard for me to get, and I had practically zero shot at the chain songs (I only got Lift Up). Hopefully with next month will bring some easier requirements, and I’ll get some more of those skill tokens.

I didn’t really like the skill token month, honestly. Having another one seems kind of ridiculous. If you’re making easier reqs, which is what it sounds like you’re saying, I hope you don’t use that as an excuse to release only easy songs to go with them.
