Day 6: Classical Insanity by DM Ashura
I gave everyone a clue in the FFR General Talk thread… but it would appear nobody noticed. Classical Insanity is an awesome mix by our favorite remixer in the whole wide world, DM Ashura. And of course… stepped by everyone’s favorite stepfile artist (except for EHHS, GGC, etc etc etc) Shashakiro. 1 part Revo, 1 part Moonlight Sonata, 1 part Rondo, 1 part HD5, 1 part B-Virus, 1 part FotBB (and 3 other not as cool parts because they aren’t seperate files in FFR… yet) = Classical Insanity, for sure.
Definitely a solid 5 on the difficulty chart between long streams at 175bpm (few jumpstream) and those DREADED running men. Will be difficult for the average FFRer to even pass and the great FFRer to FC. Don’t expect a AAA unless your name is Shash, Baha, JX, or scottish (maybe a few other uber FFRers). Although, we’ve steadily gone up in difficulty over the past 6 days… tomorrow we go back down to the easy file; the cake AAA.
Oh yea. It is located in Classical (duh). 3rd row, middle.

umm… Beethoven Virus isn’t a classical piece; don’t use the name just because it’s more popular than Beethoven’s Op.13 mov.3
and reguarding one of those 3 songs not on FFR, I think the 3rd movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata is one of the better classical pieces. I’d like to see a stepfile of it, even though it’ll be one of those files that only shash and bahamut can do.

Jason… what is your issue with the order? it is by difficulty. In the case of Classical… from hardest to easiest. although FotBB is put first because it is the most popular. then it goes down in difficulty… OMW, GGC, Revo, Molto, Caprice, Rondo, CI… then the 2 HDs, in order, then Moonlight (the easiest)… then, finally, MLR, which is classical in its sound and in that it is from 1923, but not quite classical, so we put it last.

I can NOT beat this mess, i’ve gotten to the 4th song, and i get slayed. I’m sure I won’t surpass the “Flight of the Bumblebee” part being that I only use one hand to play FFR. It may be time to learn the spread.

The crossovers in this song are so insanely minor that I’m surprised anyone mentioned them.
For indexers, the midstream jumps should be WAY harder.

Sorry, I’m not use to those “Crossovers” or you know.. all those words but, in the Moonlight Sonata third movement *Second song* “The crescendo one”, I cant combo the one on the right hand side. Like, the one with all the right arrow keys on the right hand side with the other notes randomly placed. I cant get the right hand side part. I use my left middle to press *left*, and use my right index, middle and ring to press down, up and right. I occassionally change fingering, but still can get that bit. Any ideas on what fingers to use, if any of those players out there use the same fingers as me and can combo it?
