School, and life, and stuff Posted on: January 28, 2012, at 11:45:08am Yep, started up school again, and got through my first week! This is my last term in Cégep, so I got to choose which three science classes I wanted. Not to mention, on all days but Wednesday, I start my classes at 11 or 12 in the morning (though I start at 8 on Wednesday), so yay, no more waking up super early all the time! So here's an overview of my schedule, and my thoughts insofar. Monday 11:00 to 2:00 - Organic Chemistry 2:10 to 4:00 - Communication and Discourse Tuesday 11:00 to 2:00 - Advanced Calculus 2:10 to 4:00 - Electronics and Robotics Wednesday 8:00 to 10:00 - Physical Education 10:00 to 12:00 - Communication and Discourse 2:10 to 5:00 - Organic Chemistry Thursday 11:00 to 2:00 - Electronics and Robotics 2:10 to 5:00 - Debates and Political Action Friday 12:00 to 2:00 - Advanced Calculus Online - Ethics and Politics Now you know exactly where I am at all times. Organic Chemistry - Well, not much to say about this, so far we mostly reviewed the important concepts we saw in General and Solution Chemistry, but we'll learn to name and draw organic molecules! Isn't that awesome? Not to mention the lab sequences, working with super dangerous thingies, oooOOoohhh. Communication and Discourse - Yep, my fourth French class, much different from the other three because it's about talking instead of writing. And we all know I'm super good at talking, right? Though it's not so bad for the moment, and I like the teacher's way of doing things so far. Advanced Calculus - I love this. All those weird theoretical notions that are completely useless in everyday life? Integrating the volume under a 3D surface and all that? That's the kind of stuff I love, ergo I love this class. So far, we've seen Euler's Formula and the hyperbolic functions, which are pretty awesome. Can't wait for more! Electronics and Robotics - I love this too. While we're going to be doing a ton more electronics than robotics, creating and putting together circuits is pretty awesome, not to mention understanding them. I'm loving this class way to much already. Physical Education - Well... Yeah. Debates and Political Action - I didn't really expect to like this class, at first. Understandable, since I was hoping for Italian as my complementary course, but so far the teacher is pretty cool, and he's pretty much personalizing the content of the course to what we like! Not to mention, we don't have a single thing to do outside of class, so I suppose Thursday afternoons are something I'll be looking forward to. Ethics and Politics - Online, so I haven't really done anything yet except look at the overview and how to do it, but it doesn't look so bad. Apparently this class is aimed towards science students, hence the Ethics part. Anyway, I'll just have to make sure to leave some time to do this class, and not procrastinate on it. After all that? How about a little story? So several years ago, when I was probably 9 or 10 years old, I was on one of those child scooters, and going down a hill (wheeee). Then there was a sewer grate, with its linear holes running parallel to the road. Going over it, my front wheel got stuck in one of the holes, and due to momentum, my face ran right into the cement. But! I had a helmet, with kept me from most of the potential damage, but still, one of my front teeth got chipped, a good few millimeters. So I had it repaired, though it was only meant to be a temporary repair, it never fell off so I left it that way. ... That is, of course, until Thursday, where I was eating a really tough cookie, and it broke off. So there I was, looking all silly with half a tooth missing for half of the day. So I had it repaired on Friday (I missed half my math class for it!), but once again, it's only temporary, so I'll be going to the dentist again in 2 weeks for a full repair of the tooth. Joy and stuff! There was also a snow storm yesterday, meaning much shoveling for me to do today. Whoooooooooooooo. So I guess my life is exciting, for once. Fun school, fun tooth, fun snow, fun stuff. |

'Physical Education - Well... Yeah.' HAHA. I LOVE physical education but I'm not really a fan of calculus and electronics. XD Oh, and Ethics is a pretty fun subject.
Aww, poor tooth! I've lost a tooth from eating a chewy lolly one time, and an apple. >:( Good to hear things are exciting though! :D

Discours et communication is the easiest one imo, I thought littérature québécoise was hands down the hardest...

You're not even in college taking Orgo and Adv Calc? Dayumn. My kinda stuff right there, though. Good luck with your studies, sir. :)
