Probably from not playing. I notice that if I take a break and then come back to a game, I suck for the first couple of days, and then I get a mega boost.
Just keep playing until you think you've hit a wall. When you do, stop playing for a week and then come back to it.

thats what i usually do and ive noticed the same thing
except this last time i stopped playing for 2, almost 3 months.
