In Need Of Event Ideas Posted on: May 7, 2008, at 02:33:23pm So, I want to have a queue-clearing event sometime within the next 6-8 weeks. Figure for it to last up to 4 weeks and to have up to 60-70 songs used. I just need ideas for the excuse to do this event. I have a few of my own, but I'd like some input. And no, I will NOT be doing a completely token or skill token event. Plan for most of these to be public songs, but some can/will be token/skill. Also, I've just confirmed with Sprite... expect the next official tournament to begin in early June. This is your first official announcement of the 4th official tournament. :) -Tass |

testing season? sorry... it's summer in the US. schools all are out. best time to run a tournament.
And for 1000th songID.... nah, because that's only 10 away. Would want it to end on #1000. And we're too far away from 600 public songs or 700 total songs.

Make up a new holiday, one that lasts as long as whatever event you're doing and culminates in the official tournament. You could do this yearly. You could include weird religious undertones (read: flying spaghetti monster or synth-worship) and make the songs hymns or sacrifices to the faith.

I say we have skill tokes but with a twist (hence they wont be called skill tokens) Some maybe more endurance tokens =)
Say for example get through 10,000 arrows in a day or fc a song with one of the effects on it (like hidden arrows or x3 speed mod)

I'm thinking everyday release 2 songs, and on weekends release 3 songs. Over 4 weeks, that's 68 songs. If you do 3 songs every day, and 4 songs on weekends, over 3 weeks thats 69 songs. If you release 3 songs everyday, thats 84 songs in 4 weeks. If you release 4 songs everyday, that's 84 songs in 3 weeks. Personally I think 3 songs everyday is the best way to go about this.

i waz JUST about to say that we have another Skill Token Month (b.c last July wuz like the funnest month ever). but i think we should release random songs at random times (in random quantities at a time) it'll be called THE RANDOM SONG RELEASE OF RANDOMNESS! i think that'll work! (it'll be for 4 weeks and it'll be rlly fun!) ppl will like that.

For an entire month, use the following:

20 songs a week for a month, 80 songs total. Monday to kick off the week, Friday to end the week. Sat/Sun to keep the weekend going.

Im hoping there will be more then 4 divisions for this tournament, I think we all agree the difference in skill within certain divisions was too big last time.

Each song you release represents a magic fuzzy donkey wizard. FFR will die if there arent enough magic fuzzy donkey wizards to counter the evil flying ninja cows.

also, every time somebody plays a song all the way through, it adds a little sugar to that donkey's churro wand. each time somebody fails out of a donkey song, it adds cheese power to the cow's sword. at the end of each week, each donkey will battle the cow. if there is more sugar on the churro than cheese power in the sword, the donkey will win and that will be one point for the donkeys (repeat for other new songs). points will be updated once a week so people can see whos winning and at the end of the month there we will determine if the donkeys or cows have won the battle.
