About me:
Hey there. I'm too old to be playing this game but I find it's very good at distracting me from things that matter. I teach high school math. I enjoy things. Find me and I'll elaborate.
Interests:
Music, Literature, Theater, Gaming, Poker, Over the Hedge, DnD, philosophical revelations at diners at 4am.
Fav Music:
I'll listen to most anything that isn't modern country or gangster rap. My favorite music tends to sound like early nineties punk.
Fav Movies:
Movies are stupid, I'm using this space for my favorite books: War & Peace, Anna Karenina, Brothers Karamazov, Crime & Punishment, Lolita, Giovanni's Room, Dante's Divine Comedy, Mists of Avalon, High Fidelity (great movie, better book), Catcher in the Rye, A Clockwork Orange, 1984, and C&H :D

If someone were to present me with the purposely vague task of defining humanity, this video is how I would respond.

There's something incredibly endearing about watching people all over the world united in their pursuit of silliness. I actually tear up at points.

What's more is that this proves that goofy chubby white guys can make a difference in the world. I'm inspired.

So catchy. So awesome. An actual example of decent punk in the late 90s.

By the way, the lead singer, Brody Dalle, is the ex-wife of Tim Armstrong from Op Ivy/Rancid glory.

So I went down to my car to go to my weekly game of mafia with friends when I found my door just ever so slightly ajar in the parking garage. Nobody broke in or anything, my door is just a little broken and sometimes stays open. I guess this time I missed it. Well this was last Sunday so you can imagine how little my car wanted to turn on. I didn't even get a click when I turned the key, the battery was completely drained.

So what do I decide to do? I'm going to walk to a Menard's that's about a mile from my apartment to get a jump-box. I probably should have checked the weather. It was fucking freezing. No I mean like some people whine about cold sometimes, I really don't. I wouldn't have moved to Wisconsin if I couldn't handle a little cold, but this was absurd.

It's currently -6. Wind chill of -21. Even with a hoodie, my winter coat, ear-warmers, a hat, heavy gloves, and a scarf, I more or less was completely numb after walking for like 5 minutes. Goddamn.

I don't know why the airplane gods hate me so much and love to pee on my face, but what can you do?

Took the bus to Milwaukee. It got there late, but I prepared for that because I know how much the airplane gods hate me. My flight was delayed, which also fit into my plan, leaving me ample time to enjoy a nice dinner.

What I didn't plan for was the retards in Omaha deciding to send the plane that would have taken me from Milwaukee to Philadelphia back to the gate in Omaha after being next to take off due to a little snow. I also didn't prepare for the chickenshits at the desk to just NOT TELL US THIS BUT REPEATEDLY DELAY THE FLIGHT SO I COULD WATCH PLANES LEAVE BUT HOLD OUT HOPE THAT MY PLANE WILL COME.

Eventually I told them to go fuck themselves and took the last plane out of Milwaukee. That snowstorm that hit Omaha is going to hit Milwaukee like... now so if I didn't get out of Milwaukee I'd be there until Monday. So I flew to DC. I'm sitting in the business center of some hotel in what I'm rapidly figuring out is the gay part of town. I'm going to amtrak it to Philly tomorrow at some point.

What really pisses me off is that I was going to shadow this awesome math teacher that I have connections with tomorrow. It's going to have to wait until Monday now, but they're doing standardized testing then so it won't be as helpful.

Man, and I thought last year was bad; when I was sitting on a plane for 5 hours not going anywhere, then missing my connection in Detroit when I went home. This is way worse.

Retail, food, whatever has a nice environment and gives good hours I'll go for it haha. And I play bass guitar. Saving up money to get a house with my friends so we can create music and whatnot.

Hell yeah man. What places you got in mind? I'm doing well myself. Working shitty part time jobs to fuel my music hobbies and whatnot.

If you're far too old to be playing at the age of 29, then I wonder what that means for me...? :(
Love your profile theme <3
