I also wanted to remind everyone that we currently have a token special batch running. So far the submissions have been low and I’d really love to see some more activity on this so we can bring you more event tokens, as well as other tokens for you to achieve. Check out the thread here for all the information on that batch.

Three Submission Rules Updates

Posted in Flash Flash Revolution on September 29th, 20163 Comments »

Hello again,

Three additions have been made to the Rules/Submission Guidelines about issues that were not previously addressed. In summary they are:

1.) Stepartists receive their extended submission cap in the next open batch period.
2.) If there are two accepted files for the same song of similar difficulty, the file with the higher rating gets accepted and the other file discarded. The user of the discarded file gets a stepfile reimbursement for a future batch.
3.) Front Page Posts will be created any time the submission guidelines change.

Also if you haven’t already seen it, the Token Special Batch is open for submissions.

Updated User Event Rules & Introduction of Officially Backed Events

Posted in Flash Flash Revolution on September 19th, 20165 Comments »

Hey there everyone!

I recently went through and did a little editing on the rules for events run by users. Prior, they were only being applied to tournaments; now they will apply to any user run event on the site. But what I’m most excited to present to you is the introduction of official backing for user run events. This is going to allow users to offer tokens and increased credit prizes in their events if they meet the requirements. I’m really hoping this will have us see an increase in the number of user events being run, as well as the number of people participating in them. You can find all the details for the updated rules, and official backing information in the thread here.

New/Updated Site Rules Announcement

Posted in FFR News on September 17th, 20166 Comments »

Hello everybody, we’ve created a new and updated Sitewide Rules sticky in the forum announcements. Our hopes with this new version is to make it a lot more transparent for users which behaviors are met with which penalties, and make it a lot easier for moderators to apply the rules fairly and consistently.

You can read the new thread here:  http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/vbz/announcement.php?f=14&a=68

Thanks

Updated Submission Rules

Posted in Flash Flash Revolution on September 10th, 20164 Comments »

There is a new thread, Rules/Submission Guidelines, which covers the necessary steps for users who want to submit stepcharts to the game as well as the reviewing (judgment) process for the submissions. Previously the information was split across three threads and now it’s been consolidated into one thread.

In addition, the September/October 2016 Regular Batch is currently open for submissions until October 31st, 11:59 PM EST. Please be sure to follow the guidelines listed in the thread linked above. Remember to tune into the Batch Forum for more updates regarding stepchart submissions, and feel free to leave a question there if something is unclear.
