Important Batch Updates
As Song of the Week releases have been postponed to prepare files for the next Official Tournament, there have been some important updates related to the Batch Forum.
• The new Batch Search Engine site for tracking user stepchart submissions is up and running. Please look at the Batch Search Engine User Manual for how to navigate this site effectively. All stepartists that have submitted since September/October 2014 have a user account on the site. The Batch Search Engine link can also be found under the Community tab in the navigation menu at the top of the site.
• A new condensed version of the Queue/Batch Discussion Thread has been created for more up-to-date information on the current file submission and judgment process.
• Remember that there is a new Public Judgment System in place for users to leave their thoughts on incoming file submissions. We’ve made good progress on January/February 2015, and the more input we receive the closer we get to the next Official Tournament. After reading the Public Judgment System, the Active Sets forum is where you can start providing your input to user stepchart submissions.
• Going to the above topic, I’d like to mention some statistics from the Batch Search Engine. We currently have 51 Accepted Songs and 39 Conditional Queue Songs. If those files in Conditional Queue are addressed, we will be at 90 Accepted Songs and will have many more songs available for the next Official Tournament. As of right now we have 157 of 328 files judged (going back to September/October 2014, all previous batches are already finished), around halfway through our backlog.
Tune into the Batch Forum for more updates regarding stepchart submissions, and feel free to leave a question there if something is unclear.
New Batch Forum and Public Judgement System
Hello everyone! It’s been a little while since there’s been any news on the front page. I apologize for that, I have been quite busy. However I do return with some news that I think will make a lot of people happy. We have decided to go ahead and try out transitioning to a public judgement system! If you’d like to learn more about this new system and start reviewing some files go check out the thread. A new forum named FFR Batch Forum has also been added to help keep this more organized. You will now find everything batch related in this forum, the FFR Songs and Artist Permissions subforum has been moved here as well.
While I’m here I’d like to mention that we have still been working on getting the official tournament up and running for you all. We’ve made a good deal of progress in file judgements for it and the slots are starting to fill up. For all the most up to date information be sure to pop in the thread from time to time.
That’s all from me for now, I can’t wait to see the community getting involved in the file reviews!

FFR Forum Awards 2015 – Announcement
Hey guys, Happy New Year! 2016 is finally here, and I hope you guys all enjoyed yourselves in the celebrating of it.
Writing you all a short, but sweet front page post to let you guys know that the FFR Forum Awards are happening again this year, and they will officially start tomorrow. There will be a thread posted tomorrow, and I will link it once I have it up and running.
Here’s to a new year where we can expect more fun files, new goals to meet, and friendships to be formed. Have a great year, everyone.
EDIT: I am SO sorry, guys. I meant to have the thread up and running for you all much sooner, but internet issues kept me away for 11 hours. Thread is located here.
Cheers,
Sky Kitten
New Years Update: Change of Leadership
Greetings FFR, and a happy new years!
To those who do not know who I am, hello there and a pleasure it is! I was the primary point of contact, system administrator, and lead developer for FFR over the last few years. I haven’t made it out into the open very much in recent history, so I don’t blame you for wondering who this dude is.
I will start my bit with a huge thank you to all of the staff who put up with the first few years of my presence, and for you all taking my rise to lead in stride. I tried my best for the majority of the time I headed the operation, but I think it’s time for some new fresh energetic leaders to take control.
A thank you to those of you who enjoyed the radio broadcasts with me, and who spent long hours in prochat discussing, among other things, your opinion on FFR and its future. I would name names, but I spoke to so many of you that I would forget at least half I’m sure. The things we spoke of were written down though, and still remain in the pool of ideas for the future, so don’t worry.
As of the summer I unofficially stepped down from my position. I hung around on behest of our benefactor, but about a month ago I decided to move on. That’s all.
It is with great pleasure that I officiate your new primary arrow in the sky. PrawnSkunk! I have been showing him the low level ropes of the server over the last few months, and I believe he is qualified enough to step into my shoes–as I stepped into apersons so long ago. Please join me in a warm congratulations to PrawnSkunk, and the best for the coming years. Best of luck to you, the entire community, in keeping the legend alive.
Cheers,
Zageron
P.S. A final goodbye for those who thought I had a good taste in music.

Hello FFR, PrawnSkunk here!
It has been close to eight years since I joined Flash Flash Revolution, and I have been developing site features for almost a year now. Zageron has been my good friend, and the person who gave me the opportunity to volunteer as a programmer. Thank you Zageron for all the work you’ve put in over the years, and good luck with your future endeavors! Right now we have a team of talented staff working hard to push this game to continue to grow. I look forward to leading the next generation of keysmashers!
