Word, Sent to the Press
For those of you who remember, way back in early 2002, we moved to Postnuke as our content management system. For many years it served us well but lately we have grown to the point of nearly 1 million members and have found that Postnuke can no longer support our community.
One of the many projects we discussed during our FFR Chicago meeting was how to successfully move everyone out of Postnuke and into another system that could handle the 110GB of traffic per day without bringing MySQL to it’s knees. We came to the conclusion that we would use a simple front end portal type system mixed with the heavy duty and highly optimized backend of VBulletin. This meant that we would need to seamlessly and efficiently move hundreds of millions of records for scores and stats into a format that would be readable by Vbulletin sessions. Not an easy task by any means. It also meant that we would have to redesign the look of the site from the ground up in a way that would make long time users comfortable and newcomers not only understand what FFR is but also make them want to stick around and enjoy FFR.
So now, after sleepless nights and bloodshot eyes, we are releasing this monster of a site update to the public. We will need everyone’s help beta testing and bug reporting everything you see that does not work correctly. We will be standing by for the next 48 hours or so to fix problems *if* they occur. while i was playing ffr the site suddenly went all blue and said re somthing ffr!?!? i now realize that you were fixing the site and all, but now i have 2 problems.
1. im not sure if im logged into my account or not
2. if i am logged in, i lost aroun 666 credits AND neoMAX plz help me fix thid problem thank you.

OBVIOUSLY, YOUR LOGGED IN, HOWEVER THE MULTIPLAYER ISN’T WORKING, SO OBVIOUSLY UR THE LOG IN ISN”T LINKED UP WITH THE FFR GAME, THE CREDITS WILL OBVIOUSLY BE BACKED ONCE THEY TURN MULTIPLAYER ON DERRRR, BESIDES ITS JUST A GAME.

It looks great but I lost all 48 thousand something credits and it says that I’ve only played 5 songs and an mp level of 5

Nope, the flash window doesn’t appear at all on firefox. If it works for others and just not for me, then that’s fine, I can live with using internet explorer. It was just incase it wasn’t working for others too.

just not sure why your firefox is not rendering it normally .. as it is for all of us, and likely most of the folks here too .. thats the wierdness of it.

I just updated to 1.5.0.4. I had been using 1.0.7 before. Appearently I missed a few updates.

When I’ve improved over my old score the [TOTAL:] doesn’t
take over the [YOUR BEST:] display.

Right now I found only one way to login to mp, and this is how: 1. logout of your account
2. login to the account you want
3. play a game of ffr really quick
After that you should have your credits and you can login to mp.

That way doesn’t work anymore, but I found another way.
Step 1. and 2. are the same
3.close the browser you are using
4.Open a new browser and return to FFR
I have tested it quite a few times now and it seems to work every time.

argggggg i cant stand the new format. NOTHING is working for me and NOTHING is showing up. i cant get on to multiplayer, then i had to creat a new user name. i am frustrated with this and am not a happy girl. but i have to admit, the decoration is alot better!!!
