Update from FFR AdminCon 2
After a solid 24 hours of sleeping, eating and laying around, the powers that be are finally up and around toiling with the very fabric of Flash Flash Revolution and its associated sites.
For those not in the know, a select group of adventurers and code wizards have met in Chicago to discuss the future of FFR, the profiles, Spin It Up, MeTrivia, Rithum News and other projects so secret that even the utterance of their names causes the walls to shake. In fact, with all the pictures we’ve knocked off the walls and broken, it’s safe to say Synthlight has already lost the deposit he put down on our temporary living quarters.
In the downtime, however, we should be making the front page quite active with updates and news concerning future developments along with all the funny occurrences that unfold amid our antics. We will also be graciously releasing bonus FFR and Spin it Up files through the week, holding spontaneous contests and appearing on FFR radio shows (subject to Internet stability). For all intents and purposes, if there was ever a week you wanted to be on FFR all day, this is that week.
Since we’re all here discussing the future of the very sites you’re browsing right now, we’re opening this topic’s comments up to suggestions of what you would like to see. Whether it ranges from FFR features to merchandise to the smallest of suggestions, please leave a comment and tell us what is on your mind.

AS far as updates go, please consider to possibility of adding an option to disable opponents arrows in MP, it would make MP actually playable for lots of people I bet. Anyone with a slower computer knows what I’m talking about.

i wish there was a mute button on the background music (when u enter the game, or multiplayer). I also wish there would be a new skill token, because i have 9 out of 10 and GB 2 seems impossible 4 me 2 get. XD

I agree with the disable your opponent’s arrows, or at least make it so your opponent’s arrows arnt the exact same as yours, only showing a different score (unless that’s just my computer.)
Also make it so the speed mods stay on, so you don’t have to set it again after every song.
Last, put a Tenacious D song up. >.

FFR seems to be doing well as it is, aside from the average-miss glitch. I would say more MP mods are needed, but that would only be nessicary so a mod could be on during nearly all hours of FFR MP activity, rather than just a large amount of mods on at one time. Other than that I dont really know of any suggestions at the moment.

there are never mods on during the day, just like 3 on at the same time. I would also like to point out that those 3 never actually MOD anything most of the time, they just talk to each other and try to ban each others extra accounts….

Maybe the ability to tag a song as a favourite, and have a separate category for favourites? I despise going to the bottem of Dance2 or shuffling around, wondering where that one song with the fun beat was.

1. Make metrivia “less boring” ^_~… it used to be fun. it need sum *pazazz*… and level icons
… those sound good… and maybe sum new categories and new gametypes, like “bonus round bananza” and the almighty “final death elimination”.

but Me-Trivia, I dont play it a whole lot because of the lack of attention and all the bugs. Im going to be 100% honest. I love Me-Trivia more than FFR =o!

I agree with Omega also. The MP board can be especially nasty to be on at sometimes and most of the mods are usually on at the same time so I think it would be nice to have more mods or if not, at least assign existing mods some patrol hours of when they should be on to watch the board.

Perhaps more than a 2 player multiplayer mode? There’d be no other arrows and it’d show how everyone did at the end. My friends and I all have to talk over MSN, decide on a song, play it, then report our scores. This leads to an annoying blinking window at the bottem of my screen if I’m slow, but more than two people playing would be very plausible.
Maybe a mode where you can choose a certain segment of specific songs (so you guys won’t have to update everything haha) to play, so that you could practise the really hard parts?

id like to see a song filter sort of things. like for instanse your new and don’t even want to look at anything passed easy. then you could go to settings and mark off song difficulties. like marking off everything passed begginer, very easy , easy, tricky, difficult, very difficult challenging, very challenging, master’s only. so if you are ready for those tipess of songs then you unmak that one or click unmark all.

Yea, In Multiplayer, the opponents arrow screen should be left out. Just replace that with something else, Just don’t show how the other player is doing… Make it more exciting at the end of the song..

darkshark would probably make a good MP mod, she often comes on during the earlier afternoon time with me. I think I’d make a good mod too but far be it for me to nominate myself. Only person I’ve got quarrels with is Novacaine, but for good reason. Drugstore and Sprite would probably make good MP mods too, provided they’d accept to being one.

1. A way to kick people out of MP rooms.
2. An edit button on random thoughts and comments.
3. Make a block so that people can’t double post…just make it redirect to the edit button or something.
4. You should be able to play MP using the single player screen.
5. A thread bump button.
6. A way to see the viewers in a MP room.

I think you should fix the glitch in mp when you can un pic songs have a mod where you can make the combo smaller or gone add more note skins like itg arrows and make way more tokens and skill tokens like one every 2 weeks or 1.5 weeks and get rid of the backrounds in some songs like party4u….whatever its called.

I would like to see profile music on into our profile.
One thing of always concluded, of making a better chat video, making new designs, and stuff. We should be able to control some of our profile, just some of this stuff that is necessary that we our self’s can mess with instead of having a disaster and destroying everything and making complaints. I was also wanted to include ma bey being able to make you’re own song on this, just on this one page on this site, and then be able to test it on a FFR Test room , (that would be kind of extreme, I’m over my head…) Also being able to put pictures in you’re random thoughts. Thats it, all my suggestions, and stuff, thats my average concerns that I suggest.

I think you guys should make tokens that give special features in ffr; insted of just tokens for songs.( ie. changing the arrows to little birds like in DDR) And as for moderating in mp I’m not a “reg” but I think those wanting a mod possition should be intelligent(to a degree) esspically when it comes to computing, have the ability to deal with people, and have some sense of maturity, and at least be willing to moderate at a designated time even if they don’t freaquntly go to mp.

Perhaps maybe making the level system on MP a bit less harsh, because I for one dont like being a high lvl, playing someone else’s low lvl alt account, and getting dominated and almost instantly losing a level off one game. In a way it’s a fair level system, and at the same time, altogether whack. Just throwin this idea out there.

Ah, well…something I noticed the other day, not sure if it’s already been posted. On R1, when you use something like…eh; dark and Autofail…when you go to replay the song using the stat screen, it automatically gives you a 0, and will continue doing that, so you have to go back all the way through. (click out, then scroll to the music style, etc,etc..) It’s nothing big at all, but it is an annoyance when you have to replay a song a few times. (Haha…I suck, so it was way more than a few for me.) I’m not even sure if many people use autofail anyway…

That glitch has happened to me on only one song so far, I forget which song it was but I know it was one of the easier Misc songs I was trying to AAA, but the thing is, I didnt set an autofail or any mods except 1.25x speed. Just throwing this bit of info out there since a lot of people think that only happens when someone’s using autofail, cuz it doesnt happen only then.

I think this would make FFR copying some other rhythym games like In The Groove, but mines would be, in my opinion, great to put in the game. It brings a lot more challenge into the game, which I would think a lot of people want to get from this amazing game.

make the speed mods work for other scrolls. I’m a left scroller, and OMW is too slow to mash. So I wanted the speed mods on. To my surprise, even X3.0 did nothing. Needless to say I was pissed. I tried speed mods on another song thinking OMW doesn’t need speed mods which was what you were thinking, I was wrong again. Then I came to the conclusion that they were just up and down scroll speed mods, so I tried it. Sure enough they were up and down speed mods only. That’s the only reasong I’m putting this in here. I think I might be able to FC OMW with left scroll speed mods. So there’s my suggestion.
