Sunlight comes a month early, in Making April – #56 and special
{Sunlight} is today’s 1st skill token release. A light mix by cornandbeans, I’m pretty sure it is from some pop/rock song that I’ve heard, but I can’t place which. Stepfile is MeaCulpa‘s first, and I like it. Mixes 8ths with 12ths with 16ths and a few 24th bursts. Good job at keeping an almost 4 minute long song interesting and not repetitive. The unlock for this is something that a LOT of people have brought up to me as a good token req (and one I’ve had in mind since before skill tokens existed). You may say this is an anti-skill token, but I beg to differ. This is not a skill or an anti-skill token. It is a straight MASH token. It is a skill-less token. Get 1200+ boos on Silence while still passing to unlock. I recommend the quadmash, although the alternating double mash works best if your keyboard can’t register more than 2 keys at a time. Shouldn’t be that hard to get 1400+, IMO. I’ve done it a few times myself.
In other news, I’m sure you ALL have checked out Making April’s new snazzy custom Embedded FFR Player on their myspace. And I know you guys have been anxious to play these files on FFR as well. Well, starting today, you can. There are a total of 6 files of Making April’s that will be released over the next 3 days (3 versions of Driveway, 2 of Roses and Butterflies, and 1 of Jump In). Today we’ll release the Standard version of Driveway, stepfile by SulferDragon and later today we’ll release the Heavy version of Roses and Butterflies, stepfile by Neonatrias. All 6 will be found in Rock.
Check back later today for the 2nd of today’s releases. And consider the Making April releases as my apology for not getting Planetz and Love Cheat! out yesterday.

Honostly, this req is the worst one yet. it takes no “skill” what so ever to get boos, therefore this shouldnt be called a “skill token”. Id much rather this be AAA silence, something id never be able to do, over getting boos because AAA silence takes “skill”. Boos dont, IMO

I’ve tried quad mashing with num pad, all that ends up happening is the health bar goes down and down and down until I either stop and hit some arrows or just die. Doing it while hitting some arrows, hovering my health around the middle, I get about 60 boos off of the target 1200.

expect the boo req lowered later… i didn’t realize that averages do NOT increase your lifebar anymore. not sure when that happened, but it’s now the case. so, that makes this much harder than i wanted it to be. In the old days, you could get 1400+ easily. Now, that’s impossible. I got 1214 1st try though.

The requirement is not that easy. I agree with 107, at least tass lowered the requirement for you to get it. If you want to complain about it, get a life or stop saying to change the requirement etc. This token isn’t that hard. Tass said it’s a mashing token so then mash to get it. Newbs will have a hard time gtting this token but who cares.
Stop complaining, if you don’t like the requirement or want Tass to change it, move on and forget about this skill token and never play it again if you have a problem with it. There are no errors in it so no one should complain.

Yeah…I don’t see how autohotkey will do much to help cheat. It can help change the arrows to a more comfortable key setting (we should actually have a set of options to change the arrow key buttons in ffr settings…)

It’s not only double set-up that may be considered cheating, but anyone who has had a little experience using auto-hotkey may know how to use it to cheat. I think remapping your letter keys to spread format is ok, but trust me, there are other methods that is considered cheating which I can not or will not release.

Now that you mention it, using AHK for double-steup would make it a whole lot easier, but that wasn’t what I had in mind. I was thinking the same as pikadill, and I changed my settings to whatever keys were the easiest to mash with.
