Stick Up Your Hands! Official FFR Tournament #2 + Subscriptions
Well, it’s been a while since the first one, so we’ve decided to start up a second one. That’s right, signups are starting NOW for the 2nd Official FFR R1 Tournament! This tournament, like the first one, is for players of any and all skill levels, from the barest beginners to the most seasoned veterans. As always, it’s free to join, and there are cash (and other) prizes for not only the winners this time, but also the runner-ups!
Sign up for the tournament by posting in this thread for tournament signups. To be eligible for the tournament, you must have played at least 150 games of FFR. There are no other signup restrictions, except for one: if you have more than one account, please sign up with your main account only (i.e. the one you use the most).
Signups will end on Tuesday, January 30th at 11:00 PM EST, and the first round will start when the thread for the first round is posted.
In other news. After many late hours and an incredible amount discussions in various threads by staff and users, we have complied with your requests to set up a subscription system for those who want to help support FFR. There are many features that we will be implementing. One of the most important features at this moment will be the ability for all subscribers to see at least 4 songs (2 weeks of songs) early. Previously, this functionality was reserved for admins only. Other features will include custom titles, special recognition in the forum, access to the subscriber only forum and much more. If the subscription is $3.50 a month and 6 months is $22.00 then arent you over charging by a dollar? $3.50*6 months=$21.00. You do however save if you sign up for the year plan because $3.50*12 months=$42 and the price is $38. Just an observation.

Yeah, that subscription pricing is pretty messed up, as mentioned before. In my opinion, either 1 month should cost $4.00, or 6 months should cost only $20.00. Still, cool that it’s been implemented and all.

Subscriptions are fine and all, but here’s something that should be considered:
Wouldn’t some subscribers (most likely a small percentage) become elitist and/or act condescending towards people who didn’t subscribe? I don’t know why, but I can just see that happen..
