SpinItUP!2 4 U 2 Spin It UP! Open Beta
Posted in Uncategorized on July 24th, 2007
So we took a week and implemented a bunch of subscriber ideas into SpinItUP!2. Xelius (being the amazing guy he is) found and fixed a bunch of bugs in the beta. We now think the current release of SpinItUP!2 is stable enough for public testing. It’s close but not 100% perfect. That is why we call it open beta right?
Go check out multiplayer.

Enjoy. Btw, we have officially replaced the old previous beta link on the naviation with this new version.
Cheers,

How about we add a option to hide the other players arrows? That might help a little with the lag I think.

Everyone make sure you have the latest version of the flash player. If you feel creative, you can go to adobe labs and get the beta flash player that has dual CPU support for vector drawing.

I don’t like it. The cursor thingie seems to move slower and is less responsive. Also the colors of the steps make it hard to see on such a light backround.

Why did you guys replace the old version with this?
Do that when it’s final…
Anyway. I dislike it. It’s waaay too small. I liked it being nice and big like it was before. Much easier to be accurate. I preferred the old ‘gleam’ that you got when you caught a quarter-ring.
What happened to the top 10 tables? Is it going to be ranked on more than just accuracy now? Interesting.
I haven’t played multi yet, but looking at the screenshots, it looks like you play on a real tiny thing and can watch the other players. That’s why I haven’t played it. I know I’ll just do terrible with it being that small.
I find it difficult to read what % I just got for that quarter circle. The gleam is in the way, and why would I want to look away from the centre to look outside the whole ring? The text also just appears. Could do with something a bit nicer than that.
I like the way the combo is displayed now.
Is the centre circle the same size (in relation) as it was before? It feels a tad big.
I preferred the old way of seeing how far though a track you were. Or atleast, how it told you. Now we have a progress bar, that’s away from where the action is.
Also, is it me, or do the speed mods ‘feel’ different? I think it’s mostly to do with the new distance the quarter-rings travel, though.
Anyway, I’m sure this’ll improve alot over time.

Seems awesome, though I’m not that great in SIU. I’m more of a FFR, SM, DDR player. If you ever challenge me, it will be an easy match.
