Songs Of The Week (Feb 22, 2011)

Posted in Flash Flash Revolution on February 22nd, 2011

Hey guys, four more songs are out today. Here are the details and a little something about each of them.

2008 by she, stepped by kommisar — (G) Secret; (D) 9; (L) 2:22;
Chase You Down, stepped by Silvuh — (G) Rock; (D) 7; (L) 3:50;
Floating Through Time, stepped by who_cares973 — (G) Classical; (D) 5; (L) 1:45;
R/\IN, stepped by _.Spitfire._ & bluguerrilla — (G) Dance2; (D) 10; (L) 1:52;

Responible for songs Nebula, Session, Yeah Yeah Beats, and Streets, she returns to FFR with 2008. 2008 is an energetic song that pumps out a great deal of synthesized melodies and percussion. At a mere 127 BPM, you would figure that this song is quite simple, but don’t be fooled — it’s fairly aggressive in layering, featuring a great deal of streams with jumps in them. Chart is by big-name simfile artist, kommisar. You’ll find this song in the Secret genre, and it comes with a fairly small price. Can you guess what it is?

For you up and coming keysmashers who are struggling to keep up with the newer songs, here’s one that might be a little easier for you all; that is, if you’re focused enough to handle the longest of our four releases. Chase You Down, by Making April, is a very emotional song about the angst of being separated from their significant other, and reminiscing about the times they had together. Chart is by Silvuh — and it’s a lot of chart, pushing just under four minutes of play time. You can find this in the Rock genre.

Our next song is a Flashbulb song. Sorry for all of you upper level players who were expecting some intense drum n’ bass though, as this is one of Flashbulbs calmer songs. Floating Through Time is very calm, and well — plays as the song says. You’ll be floating along in this chart very gently with some 16th runs in the 60-65 BPM area; this is a great chart for all of the newer players still trying to get their bearings on streams. Chart is by who_cares973. Take a peek in the Classical genre and you’ll find it.

Hook up your headphones and take a ride down the t+pazolite train with the last of our releases, R/\IN. t+pazolite takes the typical gabbertastic bass-drum and a powerful synth to makes your ears experience the power that only a few intense instruments can deliver. At least you’ll have time to brace yourself, as the song has a great 25 second intro. Stepchart is by _.Spitfire_. and bluguerrilla, and you can find this one in Dance2 as well.

Enjoy yourselves!
