Wow, I had to actually download the song. Awesome stepfiles, awesome song…Now if only I could get my phone to ring for around 20 mins…I’d definitely set it as my ringtone. (As is custom for us gaming geeks…-_-)

HI! who can I complain to about the advertisements on this site?
here. I’ll explain why they are a problem. rather, most are.
ffr is appealing to under-aged kids. when ffr says to agree to the terms of being “13 or older,” it is not abided by. it disturbs me to have to see an icon such as this: http://content.cpxinteractive.com/atoms/e3/cf/e3cf5c86f7de2a28bded51d9d3161208.gif
yes, that was taken off an advertisement, ON FLASHFLASHREVOLUTION.
and FFR holds a strict policy about no pornography such as that. if we need supporters for ffr, perhaps it should be considered to look elsewhere, especially with such explicit advertisements.

neverland, its not ffr’s problem if little kids lie about the age thing. what are we gonna do, put a lie detector on it? besides, there isnt any frontal nudity, only a little bit of her butt, and you can’t really complain about that since everyone has one.

it should be controlled, number one, and number two, it’s exploitation of women, and yes, I DO find it extremely disturbing. I don’t need to see some half naked girl while I want to freaking enjoy my afternoon on FFR. I didn’t know it was going to wind up turning into some porn ring when I joined over three years ago. I’m not saying control the age group, I’m saying control the advertisements and the exploitations contained in them.

Its not FFX or FF7 or FF4 its FF9. I’m doing my playback through it and recognized the battle theme. And after the battle theme is just the universal Chocobo theme throughout FF

dude, 1 advertisement does not = porn ring. just go somewhere else if you’ve already decided that our site sucks. and how is it exploitation when the model was paid to pose and was aware that the image would be used in an advertisement? if you don’t like the advertisements, don’t look at them. seeing a girl out of the corner of your eye for a split second isnt going to hurt anything. just be mature and ignore them instead of complaining about ad for no reason. also, you can’t FORCE anyone on the internet to take down an advertisement when 99% of people wouldn’t be offended by it. you’re just being a brat who always wants thing his way.

Neverland, let me use something you said in your first reply: “when ffr says to agree to the terms of being ’13 or older,’ it is not abided by.” Controlling the age group is actually something FFR is interested in. That’s why that’s part of the terms of agreement. It’s a necessary condition to join the site. You can’t use that in any kind of argument. Anyway, while the picture in the ad is graphic compared to what you can get punished for by posting something like that on the forums, it’s pretty minor. I’m not even sure if that would qualify as “not safe for work.” The advertisements are controlled by the advertisers, so if you’re honestly that disturbed by what you saw, you should contact whatever dating site whose ad that was.

danceguy: I was not saying that FFR isn’t strict about it’s age group, I was enforcing the point that although it is a set rule that should be respected, it really isn’t. Therefore, yes, my argument still remains valid. Therefore FFR should consider screening the advertisements before they are posted? I wasn’t demanding it, but suggesting it. And to respond to vvav, actually I’m not a “brat” for speaking up, but find it repulsive that such would be shown on a site like this that is supposed to promote fun, not finding mates who will pose like that. BTW, FYI, vvav, don’t call it “our site” and try to push me out. You won’t. Being a senior member has taken me through the steps of FFR’s development, and it has never particular promoted things..such..as..that. Anyway, it was meant for higher authority to consider. neverland: this isnt the place to post problems with advertisements, there is something called the forums, synthlight didnt make the forums cuz he was bored, well actually, he mighta been bored, but still just create a thread in forums. if 13 yr old kids get messed up by seeing nudity well they shouldnt have lied about their age. besides, ive seen worse on actual supposedly kid friendly websites…

for the record, n3v3rl4nd, we are addressing it. All of the growth and changes is taking its toll on everything we are doing. Bear in mind, you can and will see our growing pains, but I hope they are not all painful, nor disturbing. Ads are being screened as best as possible and all should be work safe at this point.
Do have fun and MRTL has a point for anyone else, please feel free to discuss this in the forum, not in an article regarding one of the new FFR Levels.

I will second Jason’s words in saying that we are doing our best. As you know, we care more about our community than being paid lots of money for unacceptable ads. I personally spent about 45 minutes today trying to weed out 400+ unacceptable ads. There is however a line where we have to distinguish what is acceptable and we will find something comfortable and appropriate for everyone.

Wow, guys, shut up. Jeebus, Ive seen my younger sisters handle problems in a better manner. Neverland is right to a certain extent. Even if this is a supposed to be a 13+ site, some people can find that offending. I dont give a rat’s ass but some people do. All you can do is respect it or dont say anything at all.
