Song of the Week 2: Get Ready 2 Rokk

Today’s song is another that may be familiar to many of you from another music game–this time, it’s from the popular game Guitar Hero. The song is Get Ready 2 Rokk by Freezepop. It’s the original version of the song (as opposed to the Guitar Hero version), and as such is in the Misc genre rather than the Rock genre. It’s relatively slow at under 100 BPM, and is mainly comprised of 16ths. Difficulty is 7/12, which is the “Difficult” rating, mostly due to the jacks that appear in many places in the song, and the steps are by Macgravel.

i was gonna say that the song is weird, but weird is such a negative word. so i was thinking of another way to describe it when i came along the word eccentric. basicly weird+interesting. therefore i think the song is eccentric. stepss are funn even though its easy the jacks kinda keep you on the ball. overall good addition to ffr, but i still would enjoy some more nutso fast songs. maybe a really hard stepped cornandbeans song i noticed a few cornandbeans that were on the “waiting list” although i know nothing about the steps.

That was pretty good. Those jacks are easy enough that I can do them, so I don’t mind them. I got 4 goods first try, and expected to get a better rank than 19th.

This would have been soooo much better if you guys did the GH version. The “solo” would have been awesome to step, and I was kinda bummed that there wasn’t some crazy super fast thing in the middle like i’ve always heard it (well, at least TRIED to hear on expert

this band did a song on the game frequency for the ps2 called science genius girl. they kick mad ass. i dig the steps too. quite a fun challenge two-finger-one-handed. i dig it.
