Lately there have been a few people going around offer to help give you normal and skill tokens if you give them your… password. I cannot stress to you the importance of keeping your password private. All passwords on the server are completely encrypted, not even we know what your password is. This is in place for your safety so that you cannot be messed with by anyone. Do not be tempted by promises of credits and tokens. If you give your password out, you will be burned.
All accounts that have had their password passed around will be closed down and will have all their stats removed.
Use common sense.

Guys, its not about being friends. We aren’t stalking users to see who is doing xyz. We are just not going to tolerate drama. You hand out your pass, and we see issues .. its simple. No sympathy. Your friend use your account and no problems come from it, why would we be concerned?

He’s right. Think of it this way. You are the one who gave your pass to someone you don’t even know. So be prepared for the consequences because you are the one at fault, not the theif who actually committed the theft. And don’t go moaning to everyone for something you did. If it’s credits you want, earn them your own damn self. Same goes for tokens, and skill tokens. As well as other necessities that require the need to give anyone your pass.

If your friend finds it out somehow and you start complaining, then you’re banned. Usually if someone gets your account for a game;
Always: They loot you
Sometimes: Gets your account banned
Also sometimes: Messages and insults your friends on your list

Sigh, pathetic. It’s funny cause their are members younger then me and I tell them to never give their passwards to anyone but they don’t listen. I have on instance where a younger member that I talk to daily had a problem after giving his passward to someone. But eh, you can only really try your best to undo their mistakes or prevent future ones.

if any one does give out there pass word send all credits to a friend or another account… then do it cause if you got the skill tokens once you can get them again… same with the other tokens… i use the skill tokens too see if im improving…

This is stupid, everyone should already know that someone will try to steal passwords or try to hack accounts. This is the internet, you don’t know the people you interact with unless you know them in real life (like if they’re your friend). If you’re stupid enough to give your password to someone you don’t know, then you deserve what happens.

ive never given my passwords out to anyone, and each differ greatly from each other, like youtube, ffr, flyff, ect other games and such. but actually when i updated my profile today, i left clues around that will lead to my password XDDD but only like a 1/3 of it… is that ok? =X

Not trying to mislead or give any ideas, but FFR is not the only place where passwords can be given; there are plenty of ways to share this information so how would that be singled out? I say if you have been taken for a ride than that should be punishment enough.

I mean com on, token finding, and skill tokens are never meant to be easy. So if you give out your password, just for that, your account is gone, for good.

i just want to add that this message was not giving out of any 1 incident… we’ve gotten MANY reports, both publicly in the forums as well as privately via IM, PM, and email, about incidents. Each and every one of them stems from this. And 90% of those have to do with tokens.
I’ve wanted Synth to make this post for 2-3 weeks now, at least. I’m very glad he finally did. It’s ridiculous… and it sucks for those members who get burned from it, even when they shouldn’t be doing it in the first place.
So, seriously guys… do NOT give out your password to random people. It’s ok, maybe, to give it to a best friend or sibling… but even then, I’ve gotten reports of siblings or close friends screwing with people’s accounts.
The best policy is to give it to nobody. Then again, what am I saying… Synth knows my password.

Come on guys. Encryptions are reversible. The passwords are HASHED. Hashes are NOT reversible (bruteforcing doesn’t count). Learn your computer terminology.
