Another day another feature right? We never sleep over here at FlashFlashRevolution.
So you always wanted a way to be notified of your progress on FlashFlashRevolution? Some sort of tool that easily summarizes your accomplishments and suggests what you should play in order to raise your skill level?
Welcome to the FFR Skill Level Guide Email Report.
This is THE tool you are looking for and it is only available as an opt-in by clicking on the button below. Once clicked, our system will send you a daily report that contains the following and more:
* Games played per day and total games played
* Your current ranking and how many users you have passed or fallen behind in the last 24 hours
* How many days in a row you have improved in rank
* 24 hour stats for Songs Played, AAAs, Full Combos, Credits Earned, Grand Total Score
* Skill Token suggestion based on your skill level
* Songs you should play to improve your ranking based on your skill level
* Current stats on each of those suggested songs
* Ability to opt out at any time

will this rank be based on amount of points you have or based on average score. (personally, I think average score is ALOT better at telling your actual skill)

When you go to your control panel in the forum and change your email, that swaps out your signup email with a new email and you will receive all future email on that address.
After a few days of receiving the report, you will be asked to confirm so we can avoid sending email to dead email addresses.

@gibson: “opt in” means you choose to sign up to recieve the email. “opt out” means you choose to stop recieving the email.

It would be cool to have a weekly email too. I dont really want that many emails and I don’t play enough for it to be useful on the daily level.

As nice as that sounds I wouldn’t be able to read it then. Besides, I’m usually up at 5:30 in the morning. *lolz and shoots self* This is pretty nice considering I can never make up my mind on the next skill token to achieve.

Awesome feature, but personally I think it would be better as an embedded option in your profile maybe? Rather than email.
Because I know it will be cool for a while, then some days itll just be another annoying email spamming my inbox.
As an embedded thing in your profile that updates daily, it would be better, that way you could check it when you wanted.

The email contains data that takes time to generate and it would not be efficient to put inside of the profiles. The other problem is available space. We don’t want to crowd the profile pages.

got mine. Actually, I’m not that impressed. I go by avg rank, not overal (which is pretty inacurate). It also tells me which songs I can improve on baed on whats at the bottom of my level rank, even if there secret songs that I havn’t unlocked (perhaps you should have something to check if secret songs are unlocked yet….but still). The skill token suggestion is kind of meh, but then again, I got all of te easy ones out of the way.

Quite possibly the greatest feature ever. This is absolutely innovative. This will make it alot easier to go about on improving, and a good way to keep you systematically organized on passing harder song to harder song without the struggle of you figuring it out on yourself. This is a very big help, and I never really thought this was possible. Much appreciation to the ones who made this come true.

If you have hotmail or yahoo, make sure you check your spam folders and mark it not spam. I definitely get confirmations on every email that gets sent out and we sent out hundreds.

oh you sent out hundreds, that explains the people that didnt get any, there is about 1 million accounts in FFR and only some hundreds of those people got them,:S

Well I expect only hundreds signed up for it lol. You have to remember not every account on ffr is totally active. I bet less than 10% maybe of all accounts are totally active on ffr…but I’m not sure just a guess lol.

Signed up the minute this feature came out and I still don’t have one…I’m using a correct email address, and they were not sent to my bulk folders( yes it is yahoo). So I guess I’m just having bad luck.

Thanks Alot Synthlight! It told me the token I should work on (And it was the only I was working on already!) and my rank! Only problem is, is that that songs that it told me to work on were Funk songs, and I’m doing songs like {Blaze}!

Got mine today
it told me to improve on a bunch of purchased songs and 1 song that I actually ever got a score on…kinda dum but whatever, I already knew I needed to unlock purchased songs now. Not only this, it told me to do token 10. I would, if life goes on wasn’t off sync.

This is certainly an interesting feature, and it seems to have a lot of possibilities. Some things I’d like to see, or at least considered, are: (1) a web page version of this as an alternative to daily e-mails, (2) the ability to select what specifics you get reports on, (3) the ability for e-mails to be skipped under certain conditions (e.g., no plays one day, the suggested songs don’t change, etc.), (4) perhaps an option to change the delivery schedule from daily to weekly, bi-weekly, etc. In some sense, 3 depends on 2, but they’re not exactly the same. I’ve signed up, so I’ll give it at least a few days and see how it goes.

You might want to check your bulk/junk/spam folder for the message. Mine was filtered out as spam, but I caught it before I deleted it.
Are the suggested songs to improve on always going to be your five worst ranked songs? If so, I don’t find this very helpful. I also don’t think I’d call those songs “songs you should easily improve”. They’re my worst ranked songs precisely because I can’t improve them easily. I’m not sure what could be done to improve these suggestions though.
On the other hand, the skill token suggestion for me wasn’t too bad. I get the feeling it’s still a bit beyond me right now, but it does seem like it’s close to what I have done. This is a more helpful goal to aim for achieving.
