FFR Profile System Released

Posted in Uncategorized on July 10th, 2006

Today we release a comprehensive profile system that allows you to view important information about past games, multiplayer games, rankings and much more. Some of the information available in Profiles goes back 3 years or more and digs deep into our multi-gigabyte database on the server to pull records.

We thought it was about to time bring a user gallery back to FFR so that people can upload photos to the site. This same profile system that I described above allows you to upload any .png, .gif or .jpg file. These files are then resized, filed away and shown in your profile photos. Anyone can browse these photos without restriction. We have imposed certain limits on filesize and quantity of uploads, but for most, these limits will be unreachable.

Last but not least is the “Random Thoughts” and “Wall” section on the righthand side of your profile. You may use this area to enter unlimited entries for anyone to read while visiting your profile. The “Wall” area allows other visitors of your profile to enter comments when they visit and are typically short in length.

A big thanks goes out to lightdarkness for enduring our design demands and feature requests. Most ordinary people would have gone insane at this point, and he did. But that’s ok, he should be better in a few weeks. This is one of the many php projects he has seen through to completion on FFR and we look forward to what additional projects are in the cooker. ;)

You may search other peoples profiles by clicking HERE

You can also edit your own profile or link others to your profile by simplying adding your name after profile/ like:

http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/profile/lightdarkness
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/profile/bemaniruler
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/profile/snapps

You get the idea. :) Only when you view your own profile while logged in are you able to edit and add content.

Once again provided at no cost with no pop-ups and no hassle.. Enjoy.

Cheers,

The FFR Staff and a patch of sour kids

  5. ADD SPINITUP SCORES D: I suck at FFR so I need SIU to compensate for it =/

  6. PS That’s hot

  7. weee heeoo

  8. You should let people delete unwanted photos of theirs. Like I accidentally uploaded the wrong photo, and now I can’t delete it.

  9. We will UnknownDrummer… if you want it deleted now, just leave a note on my wall and I’ll take care of it for you.

  10. IT’s fine, I can wait.

But, you should also enable HTML. ;)

  11. That’s hot.

  12. That’s a great idea! It’s no Myspace or Xanga, but people can actually learn like what stratigy’s other people use in DDR and stuff. It could use a little more side things, but that can come later.
Such a great sight. Nice job,

  19. thats so awesome! keep up the good work guys:]

  20. hey on my computer only on ffr i cant hear the music and ive tried everything what should i do ??

  21. Upgrade to Flash Player 9

  22. You guys are awsome listening to everyones suggestion making an awsome feature like this you guys are legends!

  23. i wish i could play spinitup. =(
    it doesn’t work for me.
i have no text, just background and music.

  24. I cannot stress enough that SpinItUp needs Flashplayer 8.0 or above. Anyone who has a background and music but nothing else suffers from Flashplayer 7.0 and lower installs.

  25. would that also be affecting ffr where i’m logged in and the credits i have now show up but whenever i finish a song, my new points aren’t added?

  26. Oh god, Spinitup is hard.

I mean, I can’t figure out where it’s better to keep the mouse (near the center or away) and I can’t figure out whether to look at the placing of the bar to match the ends up, or the arrow and match up the centers, or something else. x.X; But I guess I’m okay at it. Lol.

  27. Away from the center, it is less sensitive there so you have more control over the bar. Match up the ends, the bars can only come out at 90 degree angles so the closer your bar is to 90 degrees the closer to 100% you get.

  28. uh….sure
