FFR Featured on ZDnet’s Social Web Blog
I just wanted to let everyone know that to my surprise, I checked my messages and Steve O’Hear himself had let me know that he had written up an article on FFR that encompasses both the game aspect and the ever expanding social networking side of FFR. Don’t forget to tell Steve thanks for his support of FFR. I am overwhelming joyful that someone else understands what our community here has experienced for the last 4 years. And that is a sense of (no matter how twisted!) community & entertainment all rolled up into one insane package we call FFR.
Looking on from here with already 1.2 million members, things look great and I look forward to our further development over the next year.
Did I forget to mention that I squashed the secret arrows bug today? Yes I did. It’s all part of our Flash 9 beta version of FFR and will be up soon.

Congratulations on fixing that bug!
Was that bug there to prevent the song exiting early. I have accidentally hit that arrow over long gaps in the song. Since the songs are designed to end when the arrows are no longer there, would the secret arrows serve the purpose of keeping the song active?

Nothing is free. We have put countless dollars and hours into FFR over the years. I can’t even begin to explain what an expensive hobby FFR used to be.

sweet that secret arrows are no longer on, but in the past if u aaa’d something and hit a secret aroow or two, would it count toward ur score?
and even tho this isnt realated at all, on exite bike, how do u get more than a AAA?
theres like 7 people that have done that, and i dont think there hackers.

Believe it or not, I was just on MP and I got one of these “secret” arrows on accident. I do believe it was Trip to the Moon, but I screwed up a lot so I wouldn’t be on the top.

FFR has surely gone a long ways, without a doubt. When I first started, it was just a site with a flash game containing about 20 songs at the most.
What I’m really pleased with is how the staff integrated the game with a diverse community, making this site very socially interactive.

The secret arrow corrects are in the beta being tested. This is not out for the general public yet ..
As soon as its all fixed up and ready (and beaten to death by the likes of Sprite- and Tass and Shash) an announcement will certainly be made
