Dawn of the Giggles Color. #29 & #30
Sorry for the lateness of the tokens…. but it’s still only 9:30 here on the West Coast. Anyway…
Dawn is another Trance song by Kyle Ward alias KaW. File is by Triplex72, and has the distinction of being in the queue longer than any other song. EVER! (Except July, but that doesn’t count, since I specifically held off on releasing it for a reason. Dawn was just random that it was never released earlier, mostly). So big thanks to Triplex on being so patient on getting his first file in the game. Difficulty is set at an 8, mostly for length. The song is 3:30, bunch of gallops. Unlock req: Get a FC on The Pylons Are TRAP BALLS with at least 546 perfects.
Color of Giggles is a real fun song by sleeplessdragn, one of our in-house music extraordinaires. The song is 200bpm, full of upbeatness. Rated a 10 for its 4-framers, but overall it doesn’t have any long streams; just many long bursts and 8th chains. File is by dAnceguy117, his 2nd. The unlock req is interesting on this one…. Shash came up with it. Your combo must be 5 times greater than your combined total of goods, averages, misses, and boos on Vertex BETA (along with passing it). Aka, a Full Combo (1755) with 200 goods, 100 averages, 0 misses, and 60 boos would NOT unlock it (200+100+60 * 5 = 1800). BUT, a combo of 500 with 20 goods, 20 averages, 20 misses, and 20 boos WOULD unlock it (20+20+20+20 * 5 = 400).

i think color of giggles was actually easier to get than dawn. got color of giggles on first try (after seeing if i could get the first 100 something perfects then fail lol) and dawn on LOL 5th try!

Vertex doesn’t like my keyboard! I get all these stupid Averages/Boos/Misses on crap that I can so easily MA in Stepmania. Is there a way to speed up FFR so it runs more smoothly or accepts input more readily?

Ok, may I ask why this requirement is almost entirely based on luck? You can make the requirements creative. You cannot, however, make them soooo creative that they are now impossible to get using skill, and rather you have to simply become lucky.
Tell me, who is actually going to be able to keep track of all this in the requirement while they are playing vertex beta? It is enough to keep up with the arrows, let alone do constant counting and mental math at the same time.

Luck? You have to have PA and do well. No unskilled player can get this token, period, no matter how lucky they are–mashing will get you nowhere, since the boos will very quickly rack up to over 400. You have to get a decent combo and good PA, that’s the only way to get this token, where’s the luck in that?

Hm…I may have read wrong. At first glance it seems everything must be kept track of. Now I see that if you full combo it with good PA you will get it. Lol nvm then, I was wrong. Decent requirement I suppose, but very intimidating at first glance >.>

i had a 230 combo with 20goods,0avg,2miss,and2boos
and i still didnt get the token…until i came here and then it said you have to PASS the song…i was like wtf damn i aint gettin this x_x…(and i used auto fail)

Its a skill token and a lot of them so far have been moderatly easy.
They need a hard one once and a while.

lol I got it, and it only took me a 100 or so tries.
Lol here is somthing funny, I had actually done the requirement 3 days ago before the token was out (cause like Vertex Beta is fun) and then today (and some of yesterday) I could not get that high of a combo (i had a 991 Max combo before, I was amaxed). Then the day EternuS came out I said:
I hope they make a token that is get 1,000+combo on Vertex Beta, 20 or less Averages, Misses, and Boos, and 100 or less goods. That would be soo much fun!
And here we go, lol this is almost exactly what I said (but lol I would not have the token if they put exactly that in), my combo was like 50 short of 1,000 but everything else would fall under the (my) requirement.
Now, I still cannot unlock Pylons lol (I hate AAA’s). Fcing R3 Omega mix w/ 650+ perfects was hard enough (I got it with exactly 650 perfects).

i cant seem to do it… maybe im not gettin the concept… if i even complete the song… for some reason i suck today at vertex… but if i even complete the song i get like 100 misses a few hundred goods 30 or 40 boos and 70 to 80 averages… anyway at all some1 can help me out… oh and i can only get like 300 to 400 combo

DANGIT!!!!!! 910 freaking combo, 3 misses, all at the same dang part!!!!! I HATE this… I’ll try again in a few days/weeks……… Darn you Fantasticone, how the heck do you get 13-9-13-8? I always end up getting about that but with 250 goods and I don’t even know how many averages… but not much.
