A Disconnected Clash at the Mountains! #50 and #51
Today’s new skill tokens are very easy and very difficulty. A 3 and an 8, to be specific.
Disconnected is another Kyle Ward alias Inspector K song, with a nice hardcore-ish sound D&B style. Stepfile by dore. Interesting note… we’ve received a submission for EVERY single song Kyle Ward has ever composed, save for his 3 new songs under his new lias Oscillator X. I suspect he will become the first artist to ever have ALL of their songs in our game, excluding by chance an artist that has only ever composed 1 piece. To unlock this simple file of 4th notes at 200bpm, Pass Robotix (Dance2) with less than 100 goods.
Clash at the Mountains is a cool Zelda: Link’s Awakening song by zircon, who you can find on ocremix.org. The file has it’s up and down parts too, with a few slow 4th note sections and a few sections of crazy 48th and 32nd rolls. Overall it’s an 8, as none of the rolls are more than 5 notes long. Stepfile is by SulferDragon. To unlock: Full Combo Dawn with 788+ perfects (aka, 5 goods or less. But you could also have 2 goods, 3 average, and 56 boos if you wanted to). Fear not… the chain is not over yet!

Stupid less than sign. I was going to say that I don’t think the 100 goods or less on Robotix is “very easy”, but maybe I’m just not as good as the average player around here or something. Also, I’d like the chain to stop sometime soon because it’s just adding more and more songs I can’t get. I think a bunch of small chains is better than one (or a few) long chains, because it gives weaker players better chances at a few more tokens.

I can’t do the chain tokens anymore until I do the dawn token requirement…A ridiculous requirement, I might add, considering the nature of that song. I don’t know if it is me, but a lot of songs on FFR just seem ever slightly off sync, enough to where I get goods…usually 20 – 50, depending on just how off sync it is and the length of or number of arrows for the song

My personal best score on Robotix has something like 150-200 goods in it. Close, but not good enough to get the token. Maybe with more attempts I’ll get it, but I still wouldn’t call it a “very easy” requirement.

Beginners only songs shouldn’t be available through skill token because if you can actually GET IT you can’t actually enjoy it. I’m really disappointed by Disconnected since that could make an awesome file.
