4th Official FFR Tournament – SIGN UP NOW!!!
So, it’s that time again… time again for another official tournament. If you want to sign up, go here and click the sign up button. It’s that simple (note: you must have at least 100 games played to participate). If you have any questions or you want to start the smack talk… do it in the official thread! Now, to tell you a bit about this tournament:
There will be FIVE divisions, instead of 4. We hope this will help to thin the divisions out a bit, allow more users to have a chance to place and be competitive, and most importantly… cut down on the complaining! Just like the previous ones, you do not get to pick which division you will be competing in. Our Official FFR Tournament Co-Ordinator, Sprite, will have first and final say.

We are expecting at least 2000 participants in this tournament. We will be using Tier Points, AAA/FC Count, Average Rank, and Top-10 non-AAA scores as the main criteria of placement for the tournament. Likely there will be under 50 in D5 (the highest division), 100-150 in D4, 300-500 in D3, 600-800 in D2, and 1000+ in D1. These are rough estimates and may be completely off… but do expect the majority of players to be in D1 and D2, with very few players in D5. This is because there is a huge range of skill and talent amongst the FFR userbase, but the majority of players are “casual” in their play, and would stand no chance against the elite FFRer.
Now, what everyone cares about… PRIZES! As always, the top-8 users in each division (up to 40 total) will gain access to the elusive vROFL token. In addition, there will be cash, schwag, and subscription prizes for the top3 in each division:
1st in D5: 2 year subscription, $100 cash, and an FFR T-shirt
1st in D4: 2 year subscription, $80 cash, and an FFR T-shirt
1st in D3: 2 year subscription, $60 cash, and an FFR T-shirt
1st in D2: 2 year subscription, $40 cash, and an FFR T-shirt
1st in D1: 2 year subscription, $20 cash, and an FFR T-shirt
2nd in D5: 1 year subscription, $50 cash, and an FFR T-shirt
2nd in D4: 1 year subscription, $40 cash, and an FFR T-shirt
2nd in D3: 1 year subscription, $30 cash, and an FFR T-shirt
2nd in D2: 1 year subscription and $20 cash
2nd in D1: 1 year subscription and $10 cash
3rd in D5: 6 month subscription and $25 cash
3rd in D4: 6 month subscription and $20 cash
3rd in D3: 6 month subscription and $15 cash
3rd in D2: 6 month subscription and $10 cash
3rd in D1: 6 month subscription and $5 cash
And, just like previous tournaments… I will see what I can do to get CDs or schwag from some of the record labels we work with, but that has not been very successful in the past. I may also consider 3 and 1 month subbies for 4th/5th place users… but no guarantees.
FINALLY… we will be doing a song event in conjunction with the tournament. Each round of the tournament will feature a brand spanking new song for each and every division. The tournament will be 10 rounds, so that means 50 new levels as part of the tournament. Be warned, there may be some twists and turns with them too.

Any questions, post them in the thread in FFR Events. Or, direct them to Sprite. Do NOT direct them to me. And we do reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone.

Sadly, I’m in masters division because I’m considered the “Elite FFRer” when in reality I play around 1 hour a day anymore, if not less. F*cking work takes my life away. Can’t stand 4am-10pm seasonal jobs and no, I can’t quit this job because it is a family job and I want to support my famz. F*CK! I’m gonna so die on this tourney.

This tournament is simply a ploy to get me to play again. I know you all can’t live without me. I’m sure I’ll end up in Expert. My ranks were Master material at one point, but they severely slipped after avmisses were removed. If I did somehow end up in Master I wouldn’t even try. Even if I was in top shape, I wouldn’t stand a chance.

I might in division two, but thats stretching it. I might just end up in the first division, but I’m cool with whatever. It’s all new songs, so it’s a true test of someones FFR skills and not some years of practicing one song over and over just so you could AAA it every time, and nothing else.:p

All i care about is if the game will randomly lag and cause unneeded greats because that happens a lot to me because of all the flash advertisements. My processor and fast too so what ever i’ll be happy with what ever i finish in.

Signups end on June 9th. It will take us a day or two after that to get everyone into their proper divisions. So the 1st round will start as soon as we have everyone into their divisions.
And, each round is 1 week long… so, you should have plenty of time to be around for each round.

Hey whats up everybody? Tass, this is a joyous event that almost approximately a third of FFRers have been waiting for to prove if they have what it takes to be placed among the top. Its most definitely a matter of skill so all whining and complaining about whos already going to win or whos going to cheat is absolutely ridiculous. I personally think everyone here has potential to win if they really try. Almost all of you guys are special in your own way but focus and dedication are the most essential parts of this tournament that Tass, Sprite and the others have worked hard for. Although I do need to complain about one flaw in your system. If you recall, Tass, last year I was disqualified for cheating in other words using “alternate accounts”. If there are two or more people who live in the same household shouldn’t both have the right to sign up on the same computer? It doesn’t make any sense to be disqualified over for. My little brother was anxious to participate so I’m hoping this year you figured out a way to fix this problem. With all due respect there has to be a solution because this is turning out to be a matter of trust now. Most people are getting disqualified when its not really their fault. Someone has to stick up for them right? Im only asking for help, both me and my bro.

uhh also… a question. i have a sister thats signing up i guess. shes on the same ip address. how can you tell if its not my alt?
im mean her stats suck lol but really how would you tell. also on my old account…i had another person play on my account. kind of like sharing an account. that ended up in him hacking the scores or w/e but im curious if you would allow that.
What im saying is the scores you see on the account are from 2 ppl. so you place them from what you see so its pretty much like one person. just thoughts
