2 In A Row! New Subbie Feature: Added Speedmods!
Hopefully this does show all of you that we DO listen to suggestions, even if it takes us some time until we can implement them. We had to remove 3.0x mod on the Beta, because the bar is now full. We figured you guys would rather have 2 new usable mods instead of 3.0x which is rarely used outside of as a joke.
2.25x and 2.5x are now usable! Yay! I know a lot of people were looking for a 1.875x mod as well, but there just isn’t room without completely re-doing that area of the settings menu.
I expect to see a metric butt-ton of new insane scores now… no excuses. Between masking and more mods, you guys are out of reasons to suck. And I say that with all the love in the world. <3.

update: Another small feature… we added a song timer bar between the game interface and the MP interface. It appears as a black bar that gets blue as the song progresses. It’s not in the most amazing location… but it’s merely there to get the functionality in place and to beta test.

I’m in love with FFR now. This was implemented not a moment too soon, since 2x was getting wayy too slow for me. This was the incentive I needed to play FFR again. Hopefully I can get new, awesome scores.

You guys should make the FFR window really tall, it’d actually make it easier to read than SM, plus the highest speed mods would be useful. And if people didn’t like it, they could screenshrink.

I’d suggest placing the timer bar on the right of the screen, top to bottom. Or put it above everything, it wouldn’t matter, putting it between the up and down arrow would be better than where it is now, I can’t see it at all without losing my combo. BETA team go!

My problem with EW’s game screen lengthening idea is screen area. In multiplayer, full screening the browzer allows both the FFR and MP interfaces to fit perfectly on screen at once.
Making the FFR interface taller would make it impossible to have conversations while playing unless you scroll up and down, which would get extremely annoying very quickly. :/
The current setup works just fine and is most efficient in MP for talking/playing.

hmm I think we would all be more impressed if we could use a slider or a text box to enter the speed we want, instead of worrying about what to fit in a line. Or better yet something that runs at a specific bpm measurement, this way one wouldn’t have to keep going back into the menus to change speed.
