Song of the Week Players Matched Up
As many of you may know, the FFR players have been playing this week’s Song of the Week – 20031023 hard and heavy. As a result, many of the competitors are now tied for the top spot of high score. The current Top 10 for 20031023 tells the tale as it were:

It’s about time they did something. I mean, shasha’s name is cool, but it’s always seen. =o Along with bahamut and scottish and all those other constant-AAA’ers. I mean, good job, but… hi. xD
The song is okay, not my favorite DJ Sharpnel song step, but pretty cool.

Those are only names I’ve seen a bazillion times before. They are not all AAAs. I’ll never get on any of these, also, no matter how much I try.

I believe some of the song is in Japanese, like a number of DJ Sharpnel songs.

I agree with the idea about spotlighting some other players, I mean people who can triple AAA basically everything are amazing and equally amazing to watch play, but it’s boring. You know they’re going to do awesome every time, so there’s nothing new or exciting about it. Watching the lower skilled guys play is something else, because you never know how well they’ll do and when you get to watch them play each other it’s like a real competition, not just who can get a better maxed score (unlike in the arcade where if you can AAA songs you can probably do tricks during the songs and show-off and what-not, where as on here you can’t).

that’s what I meant on Top 1000 list. have it /FFRTop1000/0.php as the page 1-100, /FFRTop1000/1.php 101-200, all the way to /FFFTop1000/9.php as 901-1000. Or something like that. If you understand.
900 More people will be satisfied, and I believe it runs the same script to find the top 100 as it is for the top 1000 for it searches all 1,022,000 user entries, correct?
FFR was asking what to do with its upgraded engine and I feel that would be good.

Haha, owned. First time making a news story.
The highscore list on the results screen is viewed more often than the top 100 lists, as far as I can tell. It would be cool if there was an arrow under it pointing to the right that would go to the next 10 scores until you hit 100, and obviously, there would be a left arrow to go back. It’s simple, neat, and I don’t think it would be too hard to implement.

UberMario and the rest of you, I can add in that kind of functionality. Let me look over it and will try and do a further update later this week to make that doable.

Top 1000 is just prety much retarded. It really gives no sginificane to anything. Top 100 is pushing it as it is.

we all have other things to do….and besides, do you know how difficult it would be for every person wanting it bad enough to get into the top 100, when everyone already there is good enough to stay. i can easy get my rank lower, a good couple of hours and my rank will be better, but in between homework (college), traveling the U.S. for my cross-country meets and other activities, i dont always have flashflash time. and when i get back from trips my rank has jumped up about 20 or so. so it is good to have top 1000, more people can be reconized, more than top 1000 would be too much
