LD Thinks He Is Awesome… Is He?
So, I posted a subscriber news story last night (also found in my profile’s random thoughts) about how we are going to fix the challenge system so that you can no longer play files you don’t have access to by getting a challenge on them. Well, that has happened. So, now you won’t be able to play Vertex BETA vROFL unless you earn it. Or Otaku [Oni]. Or the big boy secret levels. Or any upcoming levels we have in store. These levels are meant to be rewards for an accomplishment, and they haven’t been to this point. Now they are again. If you want to play them, you’ll have to earn it.
You guys can thank (or curse) Lightdarkness for implementing this system. It is the reason he thinks he is awesome. I think he’s a pretty cool kid myself.
Finally… we have some new token ideas that we’ll be putting into place later this week, completely different than anything you’ve seen before. *insert gasps and looks of awe*.

Personally I think it’s a stupid idea. I see your reason’s behind it as to prevent like whoring it because it is a special accomplishment but i do think that people should be able to send out a challenge as they please. I think its just me thinking this though.

I was wondering why it was like that; always seemed kind of illogical that you could challenge someone to a song they don’t even have.
Anyway I do hope you mean new *skill* token ideas. If they’re token ideas, I’ll never come close to finding them…

Would have been nice if we had this before the Gamewhoring competition. Would have stopped a few people from easily taking the lead with songs they didn’t earn. (Not to say they didn’t do an awesome job, 24 hours is a damn long time to whore one song, but still).

It truly saddens me to see this happen. Effort is being taken simply to impede people from having fun playing songs that they like; something that brings a little bit of pleasure into their lives. I was against the concept of skill tokens to begin with, but this is too much. Truly a dark day in the life of FFR.

i guess it’s impossible to make everyone happy… but secret, purchased, skill, and token songs are meant as songs to strive for. achievements to unlock over time. rewards for long-time playing and gaining skill. they aren’t meant for everyone to have access to. if you can’t see it that way, then i guess it would upset you. but i see that as the viewpoint of the vast minority. ALSO, if all you want is to listed to songs you like, use the song list, where you can listen to any song in the game. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/FFRStats/FFRSongs.php

personally, i didn’t know one could play those levels like that, but i think that they are RIDICULOUSLY HARD TO ACHIEVE.
i mean – they should also consider SENIORITY.
i’ve been here four years, and i can’t get those levels (whatever… you can say i suck, but i can probably beat most of you). as a physics/astronomy major, i can’t play enough to get that kind of precision.
you should unlock level over time being here and supporting this website… cuz i have gotten a LOT of people to come here. shit.

Corrupt economies on MMOs where ‘rares’ are released on the first week of opening get an unfair advantage to people who actually strive to gain money. You should get what you work for.
