FFRMas 2008 – Days 7 & 8!

Posted in FFR News, Game Announcements, Simfiles on December 21st, 2008

I’ve been putting in way too many frequent flyer miles the past week.  I was on an airplane all day yesterday, quickly uploaded levels last night and went to bed.  Apparently there was an issue to Hey, Ladies…  but I fixed that up today.

Hey, Ladies is a MASSIVE Parental Advisory song.  It’s absolutely hilarious, but definitely NSFW!  A 6 in difficulty, it’ll be harder because of how much you’re laughing.  Of course, it’s a Futuristic Sex Robotz nerdcore song stepped by dore.  What else would it be?

I Hate The 80s is a massively overstepped, yet fun, song by Duran Duran Duran.  I’d like some input as to whether this is really high FMO or low FGO.  File is by bluguerrilla, but please don’t encourage him to make more charts like this.  :)   If nothing else, this song is another excuse to say Cock Rock Disco.

Brandish Headless is the first chart for today.  Those in the know will definitely recognize the song from SM.  Those not only need to know 3 simple things…  Shash file.  S.S.H. song (with Jun A.).  FMO.  Go go go!

Finally is Lady’s Cake by our own DarkbearX.  Fairly simple song that follows climax theory, making it a 7 difficulty overall.  Chart is by DarkbearX & HammyMcSquirrel.  DbX adds his name to the ever growing list of users with both a music producer and simfile author distinction.

  1. 1st

  2. Hey Ladies sounds fun.

  3. woot

  4. I think I hate the 80′s is a low FGO.

  5. Psh, overstepped would be if I put jumps to all BD and snare. :p

  6. I Hate The 80′s = FGO. No doubt about it.

  7. Woo! Go DbX!

  8. The file for I Hate the 80′s is NOT high FMO. Definitely FGO. And is far too overstepped. Nice breaks though. ^_^

  9. Yeah, I played I Hate the 80′s last night and thought it was FGO too.

  10. Yep. I Hate the 80′s is FGO.
And I can’t FC it worth crap.

  11. Awesome Songs

  12. Am I the only person who thinks that adding songs like Hey, Ladies is stupid, vulgar, and totally unprofessional? It’s not as if putting a parental advisory on it is going to stop a child from playing it. No kid is gonna see that and run off and tell his mother. I understand it’s a parent’s obligation to monitor a child’s internet activity, but catching something like this is unlikely.
Tass, if you ever end up reading this, never add a song like this again.

  13. woohoo brandless headless!!!!!!

  14. If your kid is on the internet, nothing he says in this song is hard to find on google.

    So…

  15. yeah, I hate the 80′s is definately an FGO lol. also, 15th

  16. Mm, this is very true, but then again, setting one simple parental control on google is alot easier than monitoring a flash game everytime a song is added.I personally think it’s a little unreasonable to think that a parent would bother letting a kid play a game like this, while disallowing them to play a select few songs. A sensible parent would block the entire site. Which, if this is your goal, good job.
Also, please don’t misconstrue me as defending a child’s right to play this game. If you want to place an age restiction, be my guest. Just choose one or the other.

  17. and that’s why you have to be 13 to play FFR

  18. No you don’t. Any person can play FFR as a guest. There’s no age restriction at all.

  19. I know, I was kidding. lol

  20. i am only 10 and i got a sightread AAA on hey ladies. kinda funny but stupid song at the same time.

  21. ddrkid thats not a smart thing to say…u DO have to be over 13 to play, even if ur not Oo

    i was 3rd person to play i hate the 80s lol yay…

  22. Where are these songs to play?
    I don’t know. :/

  23. I think the ‘over 13 to play’ rule is limiting and strangeholding. Think, people – how will we get our new FFR prodigies if we can’t train them from birth in the ways of rhythm gaming?

  24. Also, ddrkid007 managed to get through the song without going into a frothing rage/going insane/breaking down so I think it’ll be OK.

  25. You have to be 13 to use the forums without permission, not play the game.

  26. @KotHN
Words are words, people. The only time they ever reach a status of ‘vulgar’ or ‘offensive’ is when you stamp them as such and try to censor them. It’s counterproductive and do you think you’re honestly protecting anybody by not letting them hear certain parts of the english vocabulary?

Aside from all that, fun songs. I love the part of the FFR year. =)

  27. Yeah, Everyone who said that I Hate The 80s is FGO because of comboing is wrong as hell. It’s FGO because accuratly hitting those notes is damn near impossible.

  28. I hate the 80′s is definitly low FGO.
    Way to crazy.

  29. Hey, Ladies say “furries”.

  30. NFD, is that an actual line from the song?

  31. Yes it is. “Sittin on the couch next to a goth and a furry”

  32. McFlurry made me lose my combo the first time I played it.

  33. dore and FSR kick ass once again. Even if you don’t like the lyrics, the beats and music are boss.

I Hate The 80s is cool to me but then again I’m a sucker for breakcore. Not overstepped though, everything goes to something. FGO definitely

Thank you, Tass, for not making Brandish another secret/purchased. Shash and SSH, another killer combo…wait…SSH…ShaSH??

Lady’s Cake is a nice little cheery song with good steps to finish off this series.

All in all: very nice going.

  34. It’s “Sittin’ on the couch with a goth and a furry/ *** ‘em in the ass and cum a McFlurry”

Also if you think this song is overboard you take these guys waaaay too seriously. They don’t actually mean what they say, they’re just trying to get laughs out of the nerd crowd. :)

  35. While I understand the issues with a song that has “vulgar” language, it isn’t our duty or obligation to censor the songs we use (to most extents)… it IS our duty to warn people about the lyrics of the song. Beyond that, it is their decision. Songs that have extreme names or are purely “fuck fuck fuck” 100 times in the lyrics are not acceptable. Fuck Jason is not an acceptable song because of the name. Also some anti-gay song name that dore wanted to step. We do have limitations on what we’ll use… but stuff like FSR is within those limits.

  36. I’ve never really had an issue with the strong language, and I think Tass really has it down to a science. Warning people of the content is more than gracious, and I don’t think this kind of stuff should be excluded from FFR.
I appreciate the humor a lot and it’s something different from the typical Techno/DnB/Venetian Snares we always get. I say bring on more FSR, and other unique, and interesting artists.
Also, as an aside I think Empornium was funnier. That song actually made me get Goods (especially the ‘lololololol’ part). Hey, Ladies, while still funny, really didn’t screw me up that much.

  37. FC’d Brandish Headless!
Although IDK why. My fingers kept getting offbeat in the song.
Makes it look like I did some severe mashing when in reality, it is just sucky PA.

  38. lol.
    hey ladies.
the first time i played it i was too busy trying to listen to the words.

  39. I wasn’t offended.

  40. I hate the 80′s should be FGO unless you’re going to change some current FGO’s to FMO.
I got 7-0-0-1 on Frictional Nevada once… but I have to mash to even get the FC on this. If you’re not moving some other songs around, then this would be a low-range FGO I guess.

  41. oops wrong account lol

  42. It’s definitely an FGO [80s], I could probably SDG, but that’s about it, it’s definitely song, mainly because of the [46][28][46] patterns, those are so damn hard at that speed.

  43. it offended me so much, im gonna make this a legal matter.

  44. ….now lets see who believes me

  45. What’s with all the SM songs? Can we get some originality, FFR, please?

  46. Read Shash’s profile Kailure.

  47. omg.. my parents overheard a part of Hey Ladies… i’m screwed XD

  48. What about the other new song? R.A.T.O? (reluctently accepting temparary over-exhaustion)

  49. I love you Darkbear <3
