FFRmas Day 1

Posted in Flash Flash Revolution on December 14th, 20158 Comments »

On the first day of FFRmas the FFR staff gave to me, a file that is hard to FC. That’s right, it’s that time of year again were you get new files for 12 straight days. Today’s file is a nice swing file brought to you by DarkZtar. But beware near the end, there is a pattern that is not your friend. Okay, okay, I’m done. Enjoy!

Musician: Waterflame
Step Artist: DarkZtar
Song Genre: Dance 2
Difficulty: 72
Song Length: 2:17

This was supposed to be a lenny face but ended up as a bunch of boxes

edit: contest over, sent credits, grat

In the comment section, link a replay of a score achieved after this post where you passed a song with perfects = goods = averages = misses = boos = combo. For this to be possible, the total notecount of the file needs to be divisible by 4.

Successful submissions will receive 250X credits where X is the reoccurring number used in your score.

One submission per player, submissions close when I get back from tacos…probably 1am server time but that’s just a prediction so don’t dilly dally.

edit: ok smartdad lets do a mystery pic

This 30×30 pixel snapshot blown up to 150×150 was taken from some image somewhere on the site. First to correctly guess from where will get 100,000 credits. One guess per person.

Last Day To Order Your FFR Shirt! [Concluded]

Posted in Flash Flash Revolution on December 8th, 20154 Comments »

Today is the last day on the shirt campaign, if you were planning on ordering one and haven’t yet make sure you do by 11pm EST. We’re up to 21 shirts sold, which is about $136 more raised for events to add to the $208 we got from the last campaign (They raised their prices for the holiday season). If we can get more orders in the cost of the shirts will go down and we’ll get a little bit more per shirt. https://teespring.com/flashflashrevolution-shirt

Development

Did you notice anything about the website? Other than some spoopy additions hidden everywhere? Recently, the development team has cooked up some site changes that you guys all helped to influence through the October 2014 Site Use Survey. Things are arranged around a little bit differently, but everything’s still there as it should be!
Have you played JJR before? That’s, JavaScript JavaScript Revolution. Trumpet63 has been delving into this little project, and there’s been some interest floating around – it’s pretty dang cool.

The Official Tournament Special Batch has now opened up as well! The thread has all the pertinent information for what kinds of files they’re looking for in this batch.
As an additional announcement and clarification regarding these special batches, if you already have a file in the normal queue, you are allowed to transfer the file(s) over to a special batch if it fits the special batch’s criteria.
If you’re looking for a quick stop to see progress, head to the Weekly Batch Update and Sprint Overview for a glimpse at the progress of all of that stuff

Congratulations to the winners of the Amazings Only Tournament, and all who participated! Truly an interesting take on hyper-accurate play.

Events

The big official event is up there, if you haven’t read that, you may want to do that right now, or check out the Halloween Hunt Thread
badman7772 continues to do his RNG, pulling cards from your gameplays. If you haven’t actually checked out the FFR Trading Card Game then you should also give that a peek.
Thanks to everyone who bought a T-shirt. Keep the pictures are coming in! In total, the fundraiser raised $208 for prizes for use in a certain…Official tournament that is coming up.

Social Media

Shoutouts to the social media crew, who update much more frequently than the front page! If you want more detailed and juicy tidbits of FFR happenings, definitely head on over and give the FFR official Twitter a follow, and the Facebook page a like!
For the time being, the Youtube project will be put on the backburner, as focus shifts towards the upcoming official tournament. The hype levels have been set to minimum, so let’s start raising the bar. Every day is a day closer to the official!

Happy Hunting!
