3rd Post of the Day! LoveHateHero on FFR!!! Valencia on FFR!!!
You now should have access to both version of Red Dress by LoveHateHero. Amity and Goodbye, My Love will be available later this week. I shouldn’t even have to tell you about these files at all… since you’ve all already played them on LHH’s embedded player on their myspace, right?? Regardless, the files are by MeaCulpa and Talisman, respectively. You can find them at the top of Rock page 1.
The Space Between is a pretty sweet Alternative song that talks about my home town, Philly. The band is Valencia, which, amazingly, is from Philly as well. And their myspace page (which may have an embedded player soon too) can be viewed here. Stepfile is by bluguerrilla, his 1st on FFR. Difficulty is rated a high Difficult because of a few small 16th bursts at 170. Mostly 8ths with some jumps. I guess it could be a low 8, but I’ll leave that for debate in the forums. You can find the song on page 2 of Rock, 2nd row. Check out Valencia, signed to I Surrender Records, they’re a real cool band and big supporter of FFR.

Personally, I think Red Dress [Heavy] is easier than The Space Between. I FCed the former on the first try, but got 19 misses on the latter. I normally can’t FC difficulty 8 songs, but did with Red Dress [Heavy]. Going by my usual scores/abilities, I’d say it’s more like 6-7 (I FCed most 6s and a few 7s) and The Space Between is an 8, but I may not be the best judge of this. Those are some of my thoughts, for what they’re worth.

I’d rate The Space Between as Very Difficult (possibly just short of challenging) and Red Dress [Heavy] as just Difficult. I did better on The Space Between straightread though lol, 2 goods compared to 3 goods on Red Dress.

I agree completely with Dronak. Maybe the ratings for The Space Between got switched with Red Dress [Heavy] ?
If not, I think that song ratings shouldn’t be left to stepfile authors.

who cares about the rating on the file, it was a great song either way. steps were fantastic.
i’m definitely looking forward to more songs in the Rock section, especially the August Burns Red track.

i seriously absolutely LOVE you for this. valencia is my favorite band and lovehatehero is amazing aswell. like just a few weeks ago valencia played 2 shows in a row for Delaware. and now they’re on ffr. this is amazinggg. you should look into adding: “DANCEclub Massacre” into ffr. i know you can play it on stepmania. but my stepmania doesn’t seem to want to install. :[

also, screamo is amazing. DANCEclub Massacre is a Grindcore song and it’s very hardcore. But i know a lot of people that love playing it on stepmania. And it’s more along the lines of VeryDifficult and Master.
