Song of the week, and future step artists!

Posted in Simfiles, Song of the Week on August 7th, 2006

We’re reviving dead genres in back to back weeks. This week it is Rock, with Victims & Martyrs by Allrise. Allrise is an indie band from Southern California whose music is self-described as Melodic Hard Rock. The stepchart is by T0rajir0u and isn’t that difficult; either Tricky or Difficult. If you like the song, check out the rest of Allrise’s work on their website, www.allrisemusic.com or via download on iTunes.

Second on the agenda, Jello will be joining LD in helping to manage song of the week. We will be looking for a few new step artists, and are interested in hearing from you! If you’re interested in being a step artist, read further into this story for details!

Cheers,

The FFR Staff & their Victims

If you would like to be a step artist for FFR, we ask you to follow a few guidelines.

1) You must have a minimum of 3 credible stepfiles under your belt for proof of ability, please send at least 3 in a zip file, to [email protected].

2) You MUST include GRAPHICS (Background and banner) with your submissions. First impressions are very important.

3) You should be prepared for critisism from me, I will always include this with files I deny so that you may fix a problem, and resubmit

4) When resubmitting a simfile you are to send the .DWI ONLY so that my inbox does not get cluttered with useless junk

5) Please keep songs under 3 minutes long unless authorized by me, I dont have all day to test each and every file.

I really look forward to this. I’ve found that people want quantity over quality, but that will change with me.

Thanks guys, Jello

  1. Do you mean credible simfiles as in well known or credible as in well done?

  2. Well done files.

  3. lol. why bg and banner? banner is completely unneeded for FFR and every song with a bg is harder because of it. seems like a waste of time.

in other news… hope everyone likes this song.

  4. bg and banner are to show that you care about your file, and are only needed for the files you’re submiting for credibility.

  5. lol jello

ill work on plastic once i get the bpm :p

  6. Nice job on the new song. Finally, a semi-hard rock song that sounds great. :D Love it.

  7. That is a great rock song indeed! Pretty awesome steps too!

And I talked about this whole wanting to get other sections of FFR open again with Gorlock, and one of our songs, Raw Sound, is a hiphop song done as a collab with MCMD who rapped over… So soon enough we’re going to re-do and re-master the song because we’re not as happy with it as we could be, and we’ll get it stepped and back to you guys :)

  8. seriously ive been waitin 4 a good rock song that actually challenges people!! thanx!=)

  9. Not bad at all. I like the song, and I like the steps, even though they’re a bit easy for my skill level.

  10. Nice song. I’ve been waiting for more Tricky/Difficult songs. :)

  11. too easy for my level but it’s a good song I like it

  12. what goes around comes around. im in the top 100!

its about time that u guys made a new rock song. keep them coming!

  13. Finally more rock! People who say it’s too easy scare me… I only beat it half the time…

  14. The new rock song is great. I was smiling throughout my first time playing it. It’s nice to see these new additions to these categories. The song’s stepfile isn’t really easy for me, like some here, but it’s definately a lot more fun playing than the other easier rock songs.
And a question about submitting stepfiles… What should we do if the song is over three minutes long? Also, do the three submissions we give you need more than one difficulty? And can the songs just be… any song? Like, not one we made ourself…

  15. wow its good steps for a change! The best rock stepfile so far, cept for Reality in R2.

  16. Overall the song is excellent :) , but it does sound like a song from DDR…..humm

  17. R2 is harder than the game!

  18. IF you want to use a song on FFR you have to have permission. Songs shouldnt be over 3 minutes, they get boring otherwise. Email me at

[email protected] if you want to ask me about a song… you can send it as well and ill check it out.

  19. Am I the only one who thought this song was incredibly out of sync?

  20. oo i like rock =D
