3rd Style Update!
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to keep everyone updated on our status with FFR 3rd Style. The programming part is moving along, but that’s not really my realm of expertise (Flash is like a foreign language to me). Instead, I’ve been working on gathering artists and songs for 3rd Style.
We have 21 songs gathered so far for 3rd Style, with absolutely no signs of stopping anytime soon. The best part about this is that I think that the music we’re getting is some of the best music we’ve ever had – and we’ve already got a great music lineup, so that’s saying a lot. In addition to new artists, there are many veteran FFR artists giving us new music – some who you would expect, some who you wouldn’t. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at some of the tracks you’ll find in 3rd Style.
Also, I know we’ve featured a lot of trance lately in our Songs of the Week, but the music we’ve got for 3rd Style is much more diverse. (I’ve got a genre list in front of me, and only four songs out of the 21 are trance!) There’ll be some much needed representation from other genres in the mix.
I am absolutely thrilled at all the progress we’ve been making so far. All of us are working really hard to make 3rd Style a reality, and I know you won’t be disappointed with the results.

Four out of 21 are trance??? Dude, what is wrong with having the dance music – it is the best genre for these music oriented games. I mean, diversity is good, but keep the genres of music that work.

I agree, still try to have a lot of the trance/dance music because really, its one of the best genres of music to play on FFR. But still, keep up the work! Im sure 3rd style will be something awesome! =D

this is kinda off-topic but could someone change my lvl to 12?
i had to create a new account and i cant play any ppl my lvl cuz they wont play a low lvl kid….my old account was lvl 12 and i want to be back there

Guys, trance isn’t the only dance music around…how about house, techno, happy hardcore, gabber…

OMG CHARDISH THANK YOU!!!!! u have just named some of the best techno categories ever. i am very pleased with what i have heard so far and i and RLY looking forward to the release but as Jchinzilla said, dont rush it make it as best as can be!! oh yeah sharpnel sounds like a good idea. plz tell me there are speed mods plz! lol like c500 to c1000. you dont have to its just an idea.

Just to clarify, it is not a new game. It is the same game, but with new features and a new look. It’s not going to be new like R2 was.

though I perhaps should let Synth say this .. I will jump up and say likely Flash 8 .. though a jump forward for 9 may be happen as we get closer.

Switching to AS 3.0 would probably only be a good idea if you did it early on, as the AS 2.0 > AS 3.0 jump requires quite a bit of recoding, especially compared to the AS 1.0 > AS 2.0 jump.

could u pls add the song butterfly (this comin from a guy, but the song’s got a good beat.) plus, could u make the arrows ACTUALLY hit the beats? i dunno how hard that is, but if it isn’t, take some time off from updatin and focus more on the details!
