FFR Level Stats / Song Stats and IIR
Many of you have likely already noticed, but the FFR Game Level Stats or essentially the Song Stats came online this week. More work is being done in the stats over the next week or so. If you have suggestions regarding game stats, or having difficulty finding your way around in existing stats, let us know. Likely we will tie the game stats together with the Top 10 Songs of the Day as we continue to develop.
Additionally, we are redoing some of the Independant Internet Ranking (or IIR) interface and getting some cleanup done in there as well. I think its back up and running fine for now, but if you find issues with it, do let us know.
The server updates went through well, and the servers should be stable again. MySQL5 and PHP5 were installed on the main web server. This significantly helped us reduce some server load, and made the game stats considerably faster. CPU Load is down as a result as well. The Opterons should not longer be too hot (no more late night cook offs in the server room) and the memory load is looking great.
Finally, in a fit of excitement, we noticed that some new harddrives have hit the market. Looks like there is now a 750 Gig Seagate SATA Hard Drive, and this started us thinking about what we could do with a little 750 Gigayte RAID dropped onto the servers if we wanted to somehow make space available to users. More late night Mt. Dew induced planning sessions are likely, and we will let you know how that turns out in the coming days.

Synthlight and JasonKey aren’t mods, they are Admins… There is like a big difference. Edubardus is a mod and all he can do is send my screennames to the Dumbass Pen. JasonKey banned me from FFR chat permanently.

LD, add a top100 overall rank list. And change the song stats from 25 to 100. We can get 10 in-game; 25 isn’t that much more.
Also, how would the HD space function for users? If you gave every user 10 megs, you could still only give 75,000 users space. Then again, are there 75k active users? Maybe open it up to 15k users, 50 megs each. Would be damn hard to moderate what is being added to it though.

Some good points on the stats Tasselfoot, I will remind LD to look at this, and see if he has some feedback.
As far as actual harddrive space, the intent is really more a matter of what kind of game related material we would make that space available for. You are correct, that if each user had 10 meg or something along those lines, that 750 Gig would be simply a drop in the bucket.
However, as things move along .. we will continue looking at options along these lines to see how we can better help the FFR Community.
Oh and bad_girl .. thanks for the clear message of jubilation regarding the updates and changes. Good to see that you are so thoroughly enjoying yourself
