March 2016 Site Updates

We are back for another month of new features and announcements! We listened to your suggestions and took our sweet time delivering them to you. This month’s updates are being announced two days early to accommodate for the continuation of the Songs of the Week releases, starting March 1st.
New Features!

• 7 New Visual Modifiers have been added to the R^3 engine. The newest game mods are: Sudden, Blink, Wave, Drunk, Tornado, Mini [Resize], and Mini Notes. You may recognize a few of these mods as legacy mods ported from the Velocity engine! Score saving is enabled for all new Visual Modifiers.
• The results screen now features a Screenshot button for capturing score results locally. This change was made to circumvent images no longer uploading to Imgur due to a flash security update and Imgur API update.
• The FFR Team page is directory created to list community staff and their roles, activity, and contact information. Until now, there has been no good place to search for relevant staff members, so we hope this is a welcomed change.

• Season 2 of the EMG Rivalry is now underway! Deidara837, portalbob340, and axith invite all players in Division 4 – 6 to take one week to post the best scores they can on a selection of challenging songs. At the end of each week, credit prizes will be distributed to each player based on their performance. If you have been waiting to begin training for the upcoming Official Tournament, now is the time to start!
• So far this year, three veteran players have joined the ranks of forum moderators. Please welcome the (coincidentally) 2015 Forum Awards “Next Mod” winner, YoshL, and thesunfan as our newest moderators of the The Werewolf Game sub-forum! Also please welcome our newly appointed Difficulty Consultant, Hakulyte, as sectional moderator of the Contested Chart Difficulties sub-forum.
• DossarLX ODI has been invited to the Development team, and was granted access to start developing for the site. You can also follow progress on song submissions in the Weekly Batch Updates thread.
General Changes & Fixes

• Latest Photos and Random Thoughts have been added to the Community menu.
• A new Song Submission menu has been added to the navigation bar to provide links to resources regarding the submission of songs to the game.
• Level stats have been extended to include the top 300 scores. Tied scores are now displayed as tied ranks. Tied scores are now sorted in order of time obtained.
• Fixed a bug where all unread private messages were being marked as read. It is recommended that you check your inbox for possible missed private messages.
• Fixed a bug where scrubbing saved replays would result in incorrect judgements.
• Fixed an issue where hacked scores imported from the October 2014 backup were not removed from level stats.

I love the work you guys are doing. Thanks for helping keep the site alive. I most love the visual mods added to the R^3 engine though, for sure. Using Wave, drunk, tornado and rotate with the Beatmania mod is fun as hell and i’m super appreciative of the hard work you guys put in during your spare time!

Oh also just as a follow up, if you use the mods i mentioned AND blink, all notes are invisible. So a bit of a bug there unfortunately!

Would what you have liked to see in a R^3 update?
While normally I don’t do updates to the game anymore, these were just some small things I had worked on back in november-december that were fun and figured I should just release them.

no fail would be cool but autoplay is kinda redundant because every song has a preview on their song stats page.
