The amount of hype brought for an event is inversely proportional to the amount of frustration/anger to come if it’s not as expected.
You took a pretty big risk putting a large size countdown counter and making everyone wait for something huge; if it’s not, you’re going to hear the complaints left and right. Hopefully this is worth announcing early.

Halogen is right. Unless this is something that everyone likes, as Zag was saying we will, the backlash from the really early countdown is probably going to be pretty bad.
Hopefully it’s not something pertaining to the TCG, since obviously the amount of people that play put in perspective to the community at large isn’t much. Same can be said for the forums as a whole, even. If it’s a web design change, it better be more fluid/refined as this has been pretty standard for so long, people are not going to want to get used to something confusing. Best of luck, hoping for something great.
