The Official Is Back On!
The site ran well all day today and appears to be fixed. The tournament songs are up for all the divisions. Because of the delay the dashboard is reflecting an incorrect date for the round’s end. Please refer to the second post of the tournament thread for the round end dates.
On another note thanks to a tiebreaker in d6 and to TC_Halogen for stepping the file, we now have a new event token called Fractured Sunshine that has been given out to the top 16 in every division. Speaking of the tiebreaker, those who are involved remember it’s only 24 hours long. So get those scores in!
Finally, for the first time ever those who were eliminated last round are going to get a 2nd chance to battle it out for vROFL! We hope this makes up a little bit for the issues with the site in the last bit of the round. We’ll be starting this after the tiebreaker is over so keep your eye’s out for more details!

Fractured Sunshine is a masterpiece.. if I wasn’t so bad at the easy as fuck jacks I’d say it was my favorite file.

Do we really need to go down this road with event tokens again? All of D6 should get Fractured Sunshine. I just don’t get why someone who gets 16th in D1 should get a file they can’t play at all while a ton of people in D6 don’t get to play it.

@bballa then I guess we should get rid of vROFL too since no one can really play it. What says the top 16 in D1 can’t play it? By this point in the tournament they’re not D1 anymore. Just seems to me that you’re lashing out because you went out 17th.
The people last round had to deal with the site acting like crap and having a top 16 token to give out to them is nice. Just get it next time, people will be moving up to D7 after this one so it should be no problem for you to hit top 16.

No, VROFL is a joke file. No one cares about actually playing it. It is simply something to show off– a medal to demonstrate good play in the official.
Yeah, I got 17th so obviously that sucks. But the bottom line is there are maybe 100 people on this site that can genuinely enjoy playing an 88, yet only 40 or so of them have it.
But yes, you are right. I will just get it next time. It’s not a big deal really.

You’re being discriminative towards lower level players. The token is selectively handed out based on your tournament performance, and not the skill that a given player possesses — it’s a milestone for making it as far as you did in the tournament. A player being D1 should not invalidate their entitlement to that token, nor should being a D6-level player further their entitlement to having that token. It works the same way with vRofl. Whether you’re D1 or D6, you get the token in the official by being top 8.
