Dark Tower Ending

Okey, My friend and I have been arguing about this for weeks with no end in sight...

For all of you who have read Stephen King's Dark Tower series, I have one question for you:

Did you like the ending?

I personally did like it, while my friend thinks its a cop out, I need some input into this (do ya beg? ^^)

EDIT: (Yes he did put a disclaimer before the ending...)

I've heard it's terrible (only finished up to Wolves of the Calla). I also heard that King put in a disclaimer stating that he didn't want to end the story in the way that he did.

i like the ending, i think he probably could have come up with a better ending but it was okay.
