Interesting game, too bad Messi didn't do his thing this time around. And I agree, Messi really underperformed this World Cup to deserve Golden Ball.

Messi tried to equalize, though. Two shots in the last 10 minutes, but both of them off target.

So he's not gonna win, but it won't be for lack of effort. I'm thinking it'll be one of the German strikers like Kroos.

...well then. Neuer was probably a no-brainer after pitching shutouts in 5 of Germany's 7 games. Surprised USA's teenager didn't win the Young Player after his first touch found the back of the Belgian net.
