Higurashi no Naku Koroni Kai
Summary:
The endless cycle of hatred and death that befell the small village of Hinamizawa continues. Rika Furude, who is the sole witness of all those tragedies, tries to find a way out of it with her friends' help, without knowing if there is one after all.
The village of Hinamizawa has a population of 2000. Here, the sounds of cicadas can be heard in the late evening. Though at a first glance the village seems normal, however, here is where lies a horrible secret which the villagers try to keep secret from newcomers. The curse of Oyashiro-sama. Unusual murders have been occuring ever since the dam construction plan. Is it a coincidence or part of a plot taken place.

Well, I've had good experiences w/ Naruto, as it's one of the more widely known Animes. As well as Bleach, being a very good one as well.

Monster is the only anime ive watched in full and it's absolutely fantastic

Monster is ****ing amazing but there's minimal action.

Cowboy Bebop?

Afro Samurai sucks, but the second two are among the best of the best

Code Geass, Yu Yu Hakusho, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Trigun, Baccano!

Code Geass is a trainwreck people only watch for laughs, NGE is showing age, Trigun and Baccano are classics. Well, I'm p. sure Baccano will become one, it's pretty recent.

Listing a few action series I thoroughly enjoyed.
Darker Than Black (Both Seasons)
Fate/Stay Night & Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works movie (the movie covers an alternate route so you'd obviously have to watch the series first)
Elfen Lied (plenty of gore and decapitation)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (this will make you manlier from watching)
Hellsing (Vampires zZZZZzzzZZZzzzz)
Highschool of the Dead (Cliche as **** plot and fan service overload but still worth the watch)
Kara no Kyoukai Movies 1 through 7 (Absolutely fantastic series. Starts off kinda boring but Movies 5 and 7 are definitely worth it)

e: also throwing down Durarara (same guy who did Baccano!), Samurai Champloo (same guy who did Cowboy Bebop, exceot instead of jazz in space it's hip-hop in feudal Japan), FLCL (personal favorite), Ergo Proxy (stupid plot be warned) and maybe some others if I remember

and there's some okay recent stuff. Xamd, RahXephon. I guess raildex but that's mostly just little girls running around in skirts

I third Durarara (though it's not really as action-y as the others there imo, still ver good) and Samurai Champloo.

Darker than black is pretty damn legit. Hei, the main character, is a badass.

Hajime no ippo. It's about boxing. It is without a doubt badass, and is actually funny as hell. The main character wrecks shop, and the fighting is constant and awesome.

Samurai Champloo is awesome. You should watch it.

Oh man, Darker than Black season one holds a truly special place in my heart. Season two was soul-crushingly disappointing. But that's definitely one to watch.
