I cried multiple times, at least 4 times. Oh my god that movie was so god damn awesome. I was so depressed walking out of it though because our world is so money orientated and oh god I have life now T_TComment

Sci-Fi isn't my type of movie, but I might go see it anyways to check out the amazing visuals I've been hearing so much about.Какой идиот придумал Бутерброд с дикобраза? Он хулиган и бездельник.Comment

On the Movie:
The movie was absolutely stunning. I'm a strong believer in good looking environments in games/movies and this just blows anything I've ever seen out of the water. Lord of the Ring, and Transformers can kiss their tied first place position goodbye. AVATAR is just simply the best.
Not only were the visuals stunning but the story line was also amazing. Simply imagine that it's completely original and none of the plot has ever been used before, and think about it. Yeah it's good. (I mean come on, FurnGully was an awesome movie when we were little eh?) There was a perfect amount of stupid cheesy, serious, laughable, and sad moments to make the story line flow perfectly.
The actor for Neytiri, Zoe Saldana, did an excellent job at acting out all of her parts be them when when she was happy, annoyed, hissing, or upset. The main character, Jake Sully, also did a wonderful job of acting all of his emotional moments. (There were a few)
Putting all of that aside, if you swear allegiance to the flag every morning and your life goal is to join the military you aren't necessarily going to enjoy the government/military slandering. The movie very blatantly hates the military, and pumps it into the ground with negativity. (I'm not complaining, I hate the military. Some people however found it offensive)
On the plus side, the movie is very positive about Native rites, land rites, and the environment. You really have to watch the movie to understand, but I have a feeling that any Native people from any countries are going to thoroughly enjoy this movie.Comment

Dont take the shrooms goff. Im almost 100 percent it would be a bad trip during that movie. Just fair warning, but you should go just because its going to be best in theaters. I want to go in Imax 3d

I don't see how people can take the military aspect of this offensive. The only part about the military was showing that they follow orders. If the truth is offensive then they should find something else to care about.Comment

Agreed with all the intelligent people in the thread.
Movie was incredible.
I can see how 300 million dollars was put into this the visual images were so incredibly stunning.
Saw this in I-max 3D on a 3 story high screen o.o Just blew me away. I won't say too much about the story (which actually there is a lot too and the trailers certainly don't do it justice), but in terms of visuals and stimulation they don't disappoint. Every aspect of the movie (from the child-like first exploration of the planet), to the interactions of the people, and to the way things operated in the military and in the tribe were incredible.
It was interesting seeing concepts of Native American, African, Mayan and other tribal cultures thrown into the movie, as well as political views of the corruption of BIG BUSINESS and the military. People may think the militant characters are misconstrued, however it is their jobs to follow orders and they are blinded by duty at times (other times are shown by select few members of the organization).
On a last note, portions of the plot are a bit predictable, but it still fulfills the story without creating too much wishy-wash garbage in the middle. Tales of fantasy, redemption and the value of life have also captured me, and I'm glad the movie did not end in the likes of Cameron's other hits (Titanic/Terminator) - other movie-lovers probably know what I'm talking about.
10/10 - Would definitely see again."AW MAN, WE SUCK AGAIN!"

Lol are you a reviewer? Hmm, the trailers looked terrible, but I guess it is good from what I read and hear. I'll check it out if I get paid...ever...?Comment

No I'm not, but I take seriously how I word my personal reviews of movies I especially enjoyed. Also I really think your enjoyment of the movie will depend on your enjoyment of certain genres.
I would place this into a sci-fi/fantasy mix with some action/adventure + mild romance thrown in.
Plus after seeing twilight and making fun of it out loud the entire time I was quite pleased to see CGI that didn't blow, stunning non gray-scale bullcrap scenery, and original creatures (some of which I may add were amazing).
Favorite of all the creatures was definitely Toruk Maktoh (sp?). Just EPIC."AW MAN, WE SUCK AGAIN!"
