I'm not an anime fanatic per say, but Death Note definitely is as amazing as you've heard. If anyone else thinks there are other animes I would enjoy by looking at my anime list, then feel free to suggest.

If I was going to watch a marathon I'd watch One Piece.

Do it. One Piece has a much more different character designs and all of the characters are unique in their own way.

I think I will give Clannad a go though.

Bunch of great shows mentioned in this thread, although I actually dropped One Outs. Just didn't click with me.

I love Spice and Wolf. Second season started recently. It's kind of a weird mash-up of romance and economics 101.

Higurashi is tits, despite numerous glaring flaws. Oh man the first season is just brick after brick being **** (most of the cast is dead after episode 4) and then they end the series with the worst ending I've ever seen in an anime. It was also made on a $20 budget so the animation is terrible.

Death Note is great until Light gets pussified in the last half of his own show. If you liked Death Note, you may also like Code Geass although 90% of its popularity came from a "so ridiculous it's kinda good" mentality and the fact that Sunrise often seemed to alter the plot to reflect character popularity polls.

I haven't gotten past like episode 5 of Hajime no Ippo, I forgot about it months ago. =x

I guess I'd recommend all of these shows if you haven't watched them yet, since most people seem to like One Outs. I think I'm in the tiny minority in disliking it.

oh and anyone who isn't watching Hellsing Ultimate needs to sack the **** up and start watching. It's what the TV show should have been.

Yeah, I thought about watching FMA: Brotherhood. Screw it, I can't get enough FMA and I don't know why.

Getting Clannad and GTO this week. I've only read half of GTO, has anyone watched it? It's one of the few manga that I've read (along with, like, um, FLCL but that barely counts and some other random ones but it got too expensive, *coughcough*).

I blame myself for playing Xenosaga 3. Because of Xeno3, Im obssessed with anime, Might actually go buy some dvds when I get back to the states. First things first, Ive always wanted to watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Might buy that. The only anime that I have right now is Bludgeoning Angel Dukuro-Chan (to lazy to type the full japanese name).

Am I the only person that found Steamboy practically unwatchable? It was just so... boring...

I also thought that Afro Samurai was all around terrible.

And I watched Dragon-Half back in high school (er, 10 years ago) and it's just as hilariously stupid as I remembered it being. Everyone should watch it.
